Jackson Browne wrote this when he was only 16, and before he even recorded it himself, artists like Nico, Greg Allman, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. JB still writes amazingly deep, meaningful music today with some of the greatest bands and people ever- from The Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, C.S.N.Y., Warren Zevon, Little Feat, Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, & more. PBS did a wonderful documentary about singer-songwriters, and JB is one of the great musicians featured.

This is one of my favorite songs by Jackson Browne. I didn't discover him until his Solo Acoustic Vol. 1 album came out, but he is my favorite artist hands down. I don't think anyone can match his fusion of poetry and music, it makes me feel so peaceful. Your version did the same thing, and thank you so much for posting it. I wish other 20-something year olds would find music like this!

Wish I could help you. I use only my thumb and index finger.Can't bend my other finger(football injury). That's why my picking has always seemed rather sluggish to me. If you learn it right from someone else,I'm sure it will sound alot better. Peace.
