And most Europeans are glad America is seperated from us by a big pool of water.. that's the wet stuff for your information ;). Take it easy.. this site if ment for fun.. not venting your personal feelings.
They are just 1-ton axles swapped under a 1/2 ton shortbed Stepside. (in my case). I can easily break a 10-bolt rear end with a stock 350... but a 14-bolt full floater doesnt usually break. My front Dana 60 also has a 1350 yoke and U-joint like the rear driveline.
i wish i could make my 454/sm465/np205 move like that!
damn, ive already cracked a 1/2 ton SWB frame......how is yours holding that power? My clutch is fried also, i cant find one to hold a mild 454 hp level.
My frame is fine so far. This is the 5th motor Ive had in it. Broke down, saved good parts and had a builder assemble it. 4-Bolt main .040 over, forged crank, 10.25:1 compression, Comp 270 roller cam, balanced bottom end, Holley intake and 780 carb. Nothing overly fancy, but decent. I have a Luk brand clutch thats lasted the past 2 motors, but this latest motor has only been in for 10 days. Seems to be running good so far, won 2nd and 1st at two races.
It's a got heavy ground dragging 1-ton Chevy axles (Dana 60 and 14-bolt) with 5.13 gears, Detroit Lockers front and rear. 454 that I have about $825 cash invested into, 4spd manual tranny with an NP205 transfer case. These are clips of it's faster runs on this vid. It also moves slow, and crawls slow too when in low range.
