Godzilla was one of the most-hyped movies of '98. Do you remember the "Size matters" marketing campaign?
You know the scene in Armageddon where the dog chews on the Godzilla doll, right before the small meteor strikes New York? That was a little in-joke - a reference to the fact that the two movies would be doing battle at the box office around the same time.
(I wonder ... what was the last movie ever released on VHS? I'll have to look into that.)

Oh I totally remember that Philips Commercial back when I was 7 years old. I thought those Philips Commercials were funny lol :)
