  • hi :) im going to build my own guitar.. thinking to potentially use walnut timber.. and i was wondering, how does it affect the guitar? as in, does it still have warmer tonal qualities? and what's the sustain like? i know i can listen to the video, but this is a question that can be far better answered by you as you have far more experience of the guitar; more than anyone can glean from the video alone anyway :/ any help is appreciated if you can be bothered :) :D

  • thumbs up for the monkey at the start ! ;D

    niiice build BTW :)

  • very nice

  • did you rout the neck plane and pickup plane at an angle like Gibson does?

  • @belowaveragejoe2

I rout the neck plane the same as Gibson usually, but the above guitar has a modified angle so I can recess the bridge into the body and lower the overall action.

The pickup surrounds are only about 3 mm thick...hahaha

  • radical

The pickups are DiMarzio PAF Classics
