I love the comment sections in these videos. Even though there's a comment on EVERY page explaining this phenomena, you still get a bunch of utter fucknuggets making comments along the lines of "It's just a model" or "It has a jet engine underneath".
Christ EmoSurfer88 explained it more or less perfectly, but still the fucknuggetry continues.
It's actually called the Stroboscopic Effect. It is caused by small instantaneous samples of optical phenomena. there are some pretty cool Stroboscopic effect videos on YouTube!

shutter speed of the camera matches the rotation of the blades, ergo making the blades look like its stationary.
