I think it's pretty impressive that Brandon can make a chorus of harmonic vocals sound good live. Other bands who have those sort of sounds in their albums generally suck in concert. Incubus knows how to do it right.

I love that this is one of the sickest bass lines/riffs Dirk has ever written and the song is rumored to be written about him being narrow-minded and not really being open to the band. He's one of the best to ever touch a bass and it's a shame that they couldn't work things out. This entire performance is utterly insane and one of the greatest in history.

I think that is precisely what made Dirk a better bassist, Kenney is definitely a better musician overall, but Dirk was always 5 times the bassist on technique. Go listen to certain shade of green and tell me Kenney could pull off anything remotely close to that.

This is one of Incubus' best songs! I think Ben is a pretty decent bassist but he doesn't even come close to how good Dirk was. Let's face it, Dirk's bass playing on Science KILLED compared to the bass playing on A Crow and Light Grenades. I'm not saying that Ben is a bad bassist I'm just saying that I think Dirk was alot better suited for the style of musick that Incubus plays.

haha first of all, Ben is not a bassist, he's a guitarist. Secondly, Dirk was better suited for the music Incubus playED not plays, because everything about their sound has changed, and it's nowhere near as good. They've really lost touch with their roots and it's depressing. Don't sugar coat it, Dirk is amazing and Ben is mediocre at best. Anyone can do the stuff that he's doing. That band shouldn't be called Incubus anymore

I reckon they probably would've attempted to go in the same direction they did even if Dirk was still in the same band. Incubus changes so much in every album. Morning view is a lot more like light grenades than an older album S.C.I.E.N.C.E, fungus amongus etc.
