I love this song! Those pictures from the Passion of the Christ really makeyou think: it was OUR SIN that made Christ suffer; He loved us enough to endure all that for us.
@dovecry2 - Great question! I just had a discussion with my sister about this very thing today!!
Here is what she said: Christ experienced God's WRATH in order that the debt for our salvation be paid. We are still held accountable for our sins and the correction we receive from God is not His wrath and it does not affect our salvation, if we are in fact saved. We are still disciplined by our Father for our sins and to show true repentance is a sign that the Lord has truly changed our hearts.
If as believers we were forgiven of all sin past, present and future at the Cross, why are we told to ask for forgiveness over and over? It says without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin, so does our confession bring about forgiveness or did Christ's blood bring about forgiveness
@dovecry2 Maybe both? We need to repent and ask for forgiveness because our sins are forgiven when we repent. Romans 6:1 says "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?" Just because the Christ shed his blood doesn't mean that we are automatically forgiven. We are able to be forgiven because of his shedding of blood, but we are also responsible for repentance. Does that make sense?
It is hard to Give that 100%. We just want to hold on to just a little bit of the worldly pleasures. We tell god we will give it to you, but we just hold on the corner of it. Thank God for being a Mercyfull God. God Bless You All. Pray for the LOST!
This song is part of an Easter musical called "The Sacrifice" and can be found (CD, DVD, sheet)any number of places on the web. Just do a web search for the sacrifice musical. Other good songs included!
Wonderful vid! I showed it to my dad (deaconless below) who in turn showed it to our Pastor. It will probably be shown in our church some time durring Holy Week. Thank you for sharing this great message of the gosepl with us!
There is a question each Christian needs to answer within their own heart: "Is the God I have, a God that to me is above all circumstances, nearer to me than any circumstance can be?"
After watching this video it would be difficult to answer that question in the negative. Great video!
