  • lol, im not trying to be a dick but its funny how he takes care of the battery bank but the smoke alarm battery is almost dead

  • Whats the cost savings of this setup after his double hernia operation?

  • all I can say to help you guys is.. start looking for a forklift battery and enjoy the 30 some year half life of it.

I'm not bothering with battery's, I'm using slow discharge capacitors because its much cheaper.

  • hey low life where are your safety glasses ?? No brain no glasses

  • @69opeth u work for osha dont you lol

  • hey low life where are your safety glasses ??

  • you need to restore your smoke alarm battery. I can hear it beeping in the background. lol

  • How long were the dead cell batteries in use?

  • I must admit, the more I think about lead - acid batteries the more I think it should be possible to make a half descent cell at home. Yes OK it may not be as effeciant as purchased cell and is likely to take up more space. but this is 150 year old technology ( and there are discussions about cells in Egyption time, not lead acid ) but lead is a very workable material, and I cannot see the other requirement lead oxide being too mad to produce or buy, if work on in a well ventilated place.

  • You need a shop/engine hoist

  • dat was a waste

  • That's "Hernia" - Central your in LOL...

    Thom in Scotland.

  • Use 8V deep cycle, they'll last up to 30yrs but you have to add water so the polarity does'nt reverse. I manufactured golf cars in a factory called E-Ride Industries. They told me after 30+ yrears of manufacturing those are the way to go.

  • I dont see how this video is helpful at all!

  • What kind of battery is this?

What make and model are they?

  • you only have this video, no "2" video...

i am assuming your rejuvination technique is to overcharge the batteries so the strong cells boil over to equalise the cells, which (may) prevent further dead cells in the future.

  • i think you made the box too snug.

  • If you research which battery last the longest you will find that golf cart batteries will outlast forklift batteries. I have seen many forklift batteries fail. The Trojan T105 is a better bet. I use AGM batteries and they are superior to wet cells. They charge 100 times faster. Have lower internal resistance and do not outgas or require water.

  • what is the life of these batteries ?

  • @rmtworkdesk, you could probably benefit from a desulfator....I do a combination of charging techniques I found on the net + use a desulfator to keep my batteries in good condition. My main 70 watt solar system only uses 1 12 volt deep cycle battery, so keeping it maintained is a must for me.

  • Impressive setup.

Have you ever considered a bus bar(s)?

What brands, styles, last the longest? Are you planning to migrate to a lithium ion bank?

  • So Marshall, Where is the next video outlining the next step in rejuvnating the deep cycle batteries. I looked at your 11 up loaded videos and did not see it!

  • If you use Forklift batterys they will last 30 years with solar and wind . I bought a new 24 volt forklift battery on ebay for $500. Your going to have a mountain of batterys.

  • I am using Trojan T105's, easier to lift..lol. Greetings from sunny Jamaica.

  • Great video!! I am not looking foward to the day when I need to start replacing batterys. CHEERS OBX NC
