i've had 4 honda bikes and never had something more loyal, and this is a modern sports scooter great when you're tired of switching gears constantly in the city !.
Buyer Beware.... I bought a brand new 2010 Honda Elite 110 scooter which failed after only 7 weeks. Honda USA would not honor the warranty. I have videos which prove it was a product defect. Called 1-866-784-1870. Their Case Manager Steve (MT56) said "It's over, no appeal, we're not going to help you." This is how Honda Motorcycle Division treats their customers. The dealership, Central Florida Powersports, Inc. in Kissimmee.... Buyer beware!
@russty36 - I suggest you make a poster, about 5' X 1.5' - cheap, in color - put it in front of a Walmart store, or any site that collects bikers, and don't forget to include "This is my opinion" in the picture. telling what happened. You can change the location as often as you think. Take a picture of yourself, and send it to Mr. Honda (or his heirs in the complex) and let them know what these bonzos here in the US are doing. I betya there's change in the treatment.
@swadish true... Its max speed is around 60 mph, give or take, so it might be able to go on a freeway, but i woudnt think its legal. check out hondas other scooters. thay look good and im pretty sure 1 has 300 cc
@bgitfunk i think the big rukus is one of the only others i like so far i have not seen many others yet that do not look like the typical scooter and are CA legal and Freeway legal let me know if you know of any others that look cool and legal in CA :)
Just bought one today! I've only put 12 miles on it, but seems like a great scooter from what I've experienced so far. At first, it seems pricey compared to other 125cc scooters, but I can tell you first-hand this scooter has a lot to offer for the money. Extremely smooth, quiet, and easy to start. Lots of nice features for the money, like a liquid cooled, fuel injected engine, combi-brake, theft-deterrent ignition, best in class 110MPG and very peppy acceleration. An easily likable scooter.
@palebeachbum Just want to update my comments. My PCX now has about 1800 miles. My best tank (first tank) was 94.2 MPG. My worst was 83.0 MPG. I pretty consistently get about 90 MPG though. I weight 165 and drive in hilly countryside at 55 MPH.
With gas prices currently in the $4 range, the PCX ought to be selling like crazy here in the U.S. Just picture in your mind a billboard with a big photo of this gorgeous bike and the following text: Honda's PCX 55 mph, 100 mpg, $3,399..and no shifting..ever." YMMV.
I have Ninja 1000cc and a scooter 125cc.Every motorcycle have their own style.And definately I'll buy this PCX.I just love when I ride a motorcycle and the wind hit me in the face.Stop insulting them 'cause their have lower cc.
Is it Cycle Worlds job to just read hondas press release over some scooter footage? It seems like that would be hondas job. If this is a review or opinion piece, then it's crap. It's aimed at young buyers? Not likely in the US. Not for that price and displacement. Maybe some retirees though. But even they will be disappointed in displacement & lack of the "idle stop" feature they have in Europe. I see these getting big when the retirees start selling their used ones. I wouldn't mind one.
they should've showed the white one it looks wayyy better

What is that red switch on the right-hand side for?
PrinceDerris 11 months ago
@PrinceDerris That's the turbo switch....
Just kidding. It's most likely the engine kill switch.
HunterXray 10 months ago
@PrinceDerris that is the kill switch it stops the engine

Thanks for the video, I do wish you would have given info about the top speed of the PCX, and maybe a longer video.
