I heard that sometimes Don Knotts would be so funny when they were filming that Andy would laugh so hard that he would run all the way across the set. Notice how sometimes in a scene where Barney is doing something funny, Andy has his hand over his mouth ( to keep from laughing ). I wish I could see outtakes of this show.
