No, you have no sense. They are in the same class, they are the top SUVs there. If you compare all the SUVs with the 3.0diesel engines, they weight near the same, not much more than 100kg diference. But this Q7 V12 TDI is quite heavier that the other SUVs, just because it has a huge diesel engine, Diesel engines are much heavier than petrol engines with the same size. So, the V12 TDI it's slower because it's heavier, and it's heavier because it a diesel. Heavier and less powerfull.

BTW your comment on a 2 liter petrol doing 700hp is horseshit, unless you'd like to replace the piston rings every 200 miles. WRC cars get 450 bhp from a 2 liter turbo gasoline and thats about the maximum where it is still realiable. A 2L diesel can actually get close to that.

A 2.0 liter diesel can do a top 300hp smoking like shit, and destroing tubos. a STOCK mitsubishi evo FQ400 does 400hp, tuned can do 800hp. Diesel are much slower than petrol
