  • He really makes an interesting point in comparing the civil rights movement to the pro-life movement. I consider myself a pretty ardent pro-lifer, but I agree with Don that the hostility that motivates so many proponents of the movement really hinders them from accomplishing their aims.

  • Great interview.

  • I love all of you...Isn't that the point. Everyone wants to be right...still. I mean I assume since you watched this video you read Don Miller's books. Searching for God knows what. Remember that one. Will we ever learn? I sure hope so. Anyways, i love you all, i truly do.

  • What does homosexulaity have to do with this discussion. Talk about not making sense. ;). Look, I like Don Miller, but in that part of the interview he was shallow and dismissive. He normally is not shallow but he was on this point.

  • hahaha. Well, your the one that brought up the whole racism thing, so im just bringing in a similar yet modern moral dilemma to the conversation. I didn't think that little bit would not make sense to you... All i can say is, he wasn't shallow nor dismissive during any of this interview. He fully articulated his points in every topic.

Obviously you disagree and wanted to try to make some point about it, and did so poorly (no offense). That's all there is to it really...

  • But the Anti-abortion movement has made a difference and you fail to take into account the major difference between the racial issue and the abortion issue. It only took 40 years on the black President issue partly because the absurdity of devaluing a human being becasue of color of skin was always obvious and in your faith. But on the issue of abortion, the child is "out of sight" and the communication of the horror is harder to convery to the general public.

  • if it was always "obvious and in your faith" than why did the church do nothing about it? if so, then why did billy graham and oral roberts support segretating races? and the communication of what horror? i have to say, you made possibly the worst case for being anti-abortion that i've ever heard.. no offense. and im not even pro-choice.

  • Owaggoner, thanks for your response. I look back on what I wrote and see that I wasn't clear. First, let me correct my typo. I meant to write, "in your face." And what I meant was that the absurdity of disregarding and devaluing human life on the basis of skin color was eventually going to fail becasue it is absurd and always visible. On the other hand, the baby in the womb is "out of sight" always. IF women's wombs were transparent, abortion would be harder to sustain as a money making industry

  • it may be absurd and always visible Now, but times were different back then and it was not always visible. if it were so "in your face," than religious leaders wouldnt have taken the views they did, thats common sense. the gospel that has been so hardcore and right-wing has ALWAYS fronted the issues of civil rights and slavery and such, and in today, homosexuality and abortion. i am by no means pro-gay or pro-choice. Im just saying, your case is very thin and you should try to make more sense ha
