Near where I live, several girls died in a crash like this. They were able to determine (from the cell company) that the driver was texting at the time of the accident.
It went from being a "tragedy" to being a "lesson to be learned" event...which it was.
This is why I refuse to ride with friends..unless they let me hold their phone in the backseat. I just can't trust them!...texting/driving is inconsiderate, dangerous, reckless, and stupid.
I'm glad they made a gory yet realistic example of the true dangers of texting and driving.

I would agree with you, but not about the GPS part. i think a GPS is better, because it tells you what to do, so you don't really need to look at it, and if needed you will only look at it shortly. But a map you will need to look at for a long time!

mabe cuz it was in UK they drive on diffrent sides of the road than americans do and second yes its small cars with no passenger airbags but the texting caused the car to veer off to the right.

All we need to do is make it legal to run texters off the road and they will stop endangering our lives out there. I had a lady almost hit me because she turned a corner in traffic while on her phone. I had to jump the curb to not wreck, and if someone would have been on the sidewalk, they would have been dead. I try to not even talk on my cell phone while driving because studies have shown that a person's attention is reduced when they are talking on a cell/blue tooth. I would like to live.

All we need to do is make it legal to run texters off the road and they will stop endangering our lives out there. I had a lady almost hit me because she turned a corner in traffic while on her phone. I had to jump the curb to not wreck, and if someone would have been on the sidewalk, they would have been dead. I cut her off, and made her pull over. She screamed at me not to hurt her, she had no clue she almost killed me. To this day I bet she thinks I was a car jacker who chickened out.

I am truck driver in the U.S. and I see people texting everyday while driving. Most of the time when I see this, there are no hands on the steering wheel. Just for thought, if this girl had hit a tractor tailer, no one would have survived. Except the tractor trailer driver.
