well craig is playing slash's solo pretty much note for note with a few little differences so i would take that as a tribute to slash.. both cool solos, but have to say slash's is funkier

You don't need to know who the fuck he is, just listen. He's awesome. From your statement, you obviously did not hear the original that Slash did. Check it on Lenny's second album (Mama Said). It's the first track. Slash was amazing on it. But when you compare, Craig's was better.

Well I do not think it's such a good idea to assume what I have heard. i have heard the original one, and I watched this video because I hoped Lenny was playing live with Slash. So I do know the original.

Yes, Craig does a great job on this solo. But Slash would do so much better. I don't think Craig Ross' version is better.
