I love this and Tony is a fantastic player, but what I noticed is that the little nuances concerning internal dynamics are light years behind the greatest ever like Weckl, Donati, Rich and the like.

Tony is a superbly dynamic player and one of the best, but well behind the cream of the crop, NOT that it matters, as this was just my personal observation.

All in all this solo was great as per TRJ usual.

trust me it's not fast forwarded. it's just the ability to become faster than what the normal human eye is use to. dennis chambers who is tony's mentor has a part that seems the same. plus it's all on time still and it's not doubled in speed.

there is something a little unnatural about his movements towards the end. its obvious. maybe something to do with the footage. technology today can speed music etc up without changing the pitch. but this guy really is that fast, ive seen his other vids.

i keep comin back to him, so far for me, hes the drummer that astonishes me the most. but im still lookin, bring on your recommendations

If it was fast forwaded, then the pitch on the toms snare and kicks would sound higher than usual. So yeah, that's the speed he plays in.
