I sorta have this problem too when it comes to connecting to men because of my old beliefs, that say men and women are as different as society says. In reality, we're all just people, regardless of our genitals.

I am glad you are feeling better, liloumace. You might have been living TFL? When you evaluate people for who they are, love them for the positive attributes as well as their flaws, then you are treating people how you would want to be treated.

Personally I have never had the chance. I'm nearly 40 years old and still a virgin, but you give me hope that maybe things can change. I would only want people to see me for who I really am.

I had the same experience with regard to not acknowledging that they are deeply feeling, deeply sensitive just as I am. : ) I am grateful to the men who helped me see this at the perfect time in my life.

@theinnercreative Why are u bringing up abuse, and rape, what does that have to do with need for sex. Men don't rape women because they need sex, you utterly mistaken and don't know anything about male psychology. Men who rape women , hate them and dislike them, that's why dominating women and bringing them pain brings some kind of evil satisfaction to these guys. They have pathological psyche, the reason why they can't get over their attraction towards women and their utter hate towards them.

Men are awakening also and just starting to realize how much we have lost. Such a narrow range of behavior, attitudes, and feelings that had to be accepted to be considered a "man". How often have we heard "Real men don't __[fill in the blank]___? It is heartening to see some men reawakening to nurturing capacities, intuitive ability, empathy, all of the right-brain directed activities/qualities which have been suppressed and devalued for so long as feminine. It's our birthright too!

@theinnercreative , I think you are very wrong, sex is not really something that man want its something that men needs, the same as food and shelter, maybe its not as essential for survival but it sure is completely natural to need sex. Men who have healthier sex lives usually have more successful career, and have higher self esteem , more confidence.

That was very thoughtful Lilou... as a male, i agree that there are plenty of men who don't quite act in respectful ways and those personalities certainly do put a really unhealthy view on the rest of us. Those of us who do honestly aim to be respectful and considerate are also not pleased with such behaviors of other men.
