What's with people eating in the background? I've never seen that before. I'd be annoyed if I were down over a shot and heard some guy crunching on chips right behind me, or looked up to see somebody slobbering over a sandwich. There's plenty of time between games to eat. Do you HAVE to be shoving food in your mouth right as they're taking a shot?
i dont like incardona. grouping all the philipinos into a group of not being able to jump is absolutely ridiculous. these are top professional players, if a tool comes into the game that is useful and legal, its pretty much a certainty that they will most pros will practice with it until they achieve an extremely high level of proficiency. saying philipinos arent great jumpers is absolutely absurd.
I agree with Mango bastard im new to the game and the comment that these players are not good with the jump cue is CRAZY!!..I seen the champions of champions tournament that was over ten years old and Bustamante was jumpin balls into pockets from all over the table..GET REAL!
goodness! what's wrong with the commentators? That's why they're called that way. stop critiquing about them. come and play me some money instead so you have life.
bcn announcers could use a revamp. but its not their fault. the producers want them to ramble even if its wrong to keep the fans amused and ratings up, but like i said they need a revamp. I hardly ever see any billiard programs on tv anymore. visa vee their outdated commentating techniques.
maybe hes speaking comparatively with other countries jumping abilties? the taiwanese are incredible...yang ching shun seems to make every ball he jumps at..
rofl anyone saying anything bad about the commentators obviously don't know anything about pool, your all experts from the sideline yeah, obviously the reason why your flaming about replays on youtube instead of actually playing
While Billy Incardona doesn't always say the wisest things pertaining to position play he was a very talented player as theverb78 mentioned earlier. I'm sure that, even in his old age, he would give any of us problems at the table.
agree, and also that diff players have their unique style, so he might prefer 1 way, and other players prefer other ways. Even though he does not say 100% correclty everything, but he's there to make the game more excited and interesting to watch.
Bustamante has the most elegant stroke in the game,it's so great to see him play. Sometimes I try imitate that super loose stroke in my pool table, but I almost can't even pocket!.
bustamante is one of the best shot makers in the world, i have never seen him miss a long shot, and hes got a super powerfull stroke, possibly the strongest break in the game
i love billy´s commentary in all matches, he knows a lot about this game, i even like it more when he is doing the commentary with danny diliberto, they are very funny together
you must be joking...Billy Incardonia, while a talented player in his day, is probably one of the worst commentators I have ever had the displeasure of listening to. Diliberto is great though. I have watched dozens of matches and I have yet to hear Billy say anything worth listening to.
This is a great match. I don't agree with the commentary being good from both commentators. Billy Incardona is annoying. He must love to hear himself talk. He is wrong more times he is right when predicting position for the cue ball. Just watch where he draws his lines and circles on where he thinks the cue will end up versus where it actually ends up. Otherwise, great video to watch if you're a fan of billiards.
im a bit curious.. at about 42.15, when bustmante won the rack and put his hand into the top corner pocket and picked some balls out and rolled them across the table..
should that be considered a foul? due to the fact the cue ball was still moving?
losing 5 consecutive racks after having done a push out mistake must be terrible. Bustamante must have felt quite embarrassed after Pagulayan having a straightforward shot after the push.

you don't need to have a long bridge to be a strong player though...making sure your arm is moving straight, you're cueing at the right angle and using the full follow through is most important...not cueing distance. Bustamante's stroking arm is WAY out of whack..but he's been doing it so long that it doesn't matter.
alex pagulayan is a very skilled filipino player, when he wasnt an official player yet, he played billiards for a living, gambling money, now that hes big time, he doesnt need to
I keep waiting for Buddy Hall to jump up on the table and start dancing with that music going during his demo. They should make a dancing buddy hall doll.
the turning point has to be the 1-5 because Bustamante than found his grip on the game and turned the table around and started playing his game and Pagulayan was surprised a little bit at that point
the longer bridge transfers more stroke to the cueball. it takes a very stable bridge to do that. a longer bridge with a really accurate shot is a sign of a very strong player. efren reyes has like a 18" bridge...
fundamentals is a myth! efren breaks all top so called fundamentals also, so called stance, arm degree, bridge, ect ect. and whu is he as great as he is and busty is? because there are no such fundamentals, as they are a result, not what to try to imitate.
I don´t know, when they startet to do that, but the conditions of the break are currently under constant modification. If you look at this years Mosconi-Cup, the 9 was on the spot at the break, the players had to break from the box, and the other player was to continue, if less then 3 balls made it over the headline, balls made discounted.
