  • This is the latest Harman-Ising cartoon I know of. The opening is the same as the Schlesinger cartoons.

But, how did Mel Blanc do the voices if he had an exclusinve contract to Warner Bros. Cartoons?

  • Mel Blanc did the voices because studio contracts don't stand a chance in the face of Military Necessity. l know Harmon-ising is given credit, but l'm not sure that is correct, certainly they had no, little, or invisible parts in other Snafu cartoons. But right at the end, whan Snafu speaks, close your eyes and listen closely. Clearly Blanc is voicing Snafu just as he has all the other Snafu cartoons (except 4 "coming Snafu") exactly as he does Bugs Bunny.

  • I'm not sure why the Ormy is making a film on the Navy, but it was amusing, none the less.

  • You I don't know why the Ormy would do it either, plus the Ormy takes huge, obnoxious credit for it in the beginning. Also, unlike the other Snafu shorts, there is no point to this one as it relates to training or basic messages as in all the other ones. So I want you to find out why this all this is and report back here on the double. You have your orders... Actually, seriously, if anyone does know ( no guesses please, however, theories are welcomed)
