  • that's what it looks like when a bambini wears senior pads

  • where is the techniqe there is none

  • he not getting up on the right leg, if the puck is to the left he should get up with his rightleg and t glide to the puck. DERP

  • my bads r small :(

  • age?

  • those pads are huuuuuuuuuge on him!!!!!!!!!!!

  • There's a kid in there?

  • those pads are HUGE on him he can hardly move hahahaha

  • wow your pads are way tooo big, your coach should be telling you right off the start that your getting up on the wrong leg when you follow the puck,,the first three shot ,you get up on your wrong leg,,,, other than that keep working hard you will eventually grow into your pads.

  • Yeah, dude, those pads were huge. xD.

He was also pretty slow in shot recovery. Left a huge area of goal open to his right when he slid over.

  • nice pads cept the size

  • 3: xD its the U.S

    canada ftw xD

  • 1: Pads are too big

2: he is still learning, but he is restricted in his movements by those beasts.

    3

  • maybe he has huge legs and small arms

  • it annoys me how big his pads are. God.. In this case, bigger isnt better..

  • I second that. way way too big

  • there really not all that big there perfect actually hes just crouching to low in them so it looks like they go up to his stomach but anyway if he would stand up straight and straighten his back they would looks smaller

  • No.

  • This kids pads are way to big.

  • @cesar333 i quite agree - most goaltenders who play minor hockey do have larger pads i have noticed which is why most of them cant skate lol

  • rbka are sick i have the same wons its just taht there to big for this kid so its harder to moved

    in them

  • lol rick heinz jersey

  • wo really thanks i was thinking about getting a nice pair of reeboks i didnt know that they sucked thanks!!

  • lol? reeboks dont suck in this case its the goaltender that sucks not the pads

  • those pads are too big you will be able to move easier with a little bit smaller pads

  • not only the size, the brand, RBK's r not good for younger goalies, beccause they twist and turn on ur leg when u recover from the butterfly and when u switch pads u will be used to the rbks and it wil really screw ur game (Personal Experience)

  • all pads are like that espcially when using old gen pads and moving on to new ones

  • I can bet he will outgrow those pads in a year. I remember when my baby brother started in net. Too big one day, too small the next. Well not quite. Keep up the hard work.

  • pads are waaaaaaayyyy to big

  • the last shot just got shot right to him. he could have scored with 10 seconds to spare but they feld bad for him.

  • if the pads were the right size that kid would have gotten five-holed every time.

  • I guess dad didn't wanna buy a new set of pads when you grow up lol ;)

  • your pads are way too big

  • would be better with smaller pads/glove blocker it's keeping him from learning the right way

  • He's not going completely down /w his right leg.

  • Yes the pads are big for him.

  • hes like afraid to go into his butterfly he needs to just go down

  • pads are huge

  • he needs smaller pads, but young kids want what the big guys have haha, but hes still just a kid, good job

  • huge pads but good job but his butterfly is a little slow

  • those pads are fucking huge, nice job tho

  • wtf the pads are huge for him

  • those pads are big but excellent job!

  • those pads are way to big for him lol

  • Dude, you're getting up with the incorrect leg. Push with your right leg to rebounds to your left

  • pads are to tall , get shorter ones , or just grow into them i guess , it will improve your speed of going into butterfly alot

  • Comment removed

  • some big pads but nice job keep it up

  • u need to get down faster and ur butterfly needs to be wider and smaller pads but ur pretty good for ur age

  • Son papillon pas asser ouvert et pour se relever et deplacer a sa gauche il n'utilise pas la bonne jambe sinon super!! jespere que mon commentaire sera prit du bon coté

  • Good job! Most goalies that age can't even do a proper butterfly. Keep at it bud.

  • Don't give up man. you'll grow into those pads and show up everyone! Good luck!

  • kid get smaller pads it looks difficult to go into your butterfly

  • I agree, his pads are too big, good work though!

  • my name is mason :]

  • nice saves.

    no high shots?

  • They are just working on 5-hole. The drill is to stop shot get up and move to the far post. Drill improves lateral movement and butterfly speed.

  • good job ! u are a really good! remeber what ever anyone says keep your head up!

  • hes pretty good

  • Shame on all of you who made rude comments about my son. He was 10 yrs old in that video and stopped every shot. He bought his gear with his own money and loved it. We knew it was too big but so what - he had a great season and loves playing goalie. I hope you think twice before being a jerk again.

  • I know. It's easy to be a hot shot over the computer and post asshole comments about a pee wee goalie. Don't even worry about it.

  • he is shit wut lvl is this????

  • lmao

  • go mason you rock!

  • dont go down for every shot.

  • wow. those pads are to big.

  • Keeps getting up with tha wrong legg . .. but good job kiddo keep tha good work

  • All you haters should be ashamed. Yeah, his pads are BIG, but maybe his parents ain't made outta money$. Who cares, the kids out there playing and trying. That's a hell of a lot better than all you fat old armchair athletes criticizing this kid. Fuck all you haters! Leave the kid alone!

  • those pads look WAY too big for him.

  • wow these coaches r retards the kid gets up on the wrong leg each time and they say nothing

  • there perfect pads size for butterfly plus there meant to butterfly but hes a stand up goalie u can tell by his style of play.

  • yea i agree his leg pads are to big...but when he grows into them he'll be better

  • we playd Davis County in Vaal and CO they suck lol

  • pads are way to big

  • I coach, and my ten year old goalie can barely do that drill right. And maybe the kid's pads are too big for him because his parents aren't made of money and are hoping he'll grow into them and use them for a while. Good job kid.

  • whoa those pads are really big and juicy for you lol nice pads

  • Im better and Im 13

  • He's like 8 .

    lighten up you guys.

    holy shit

  • i am not saying you are bad. you work hard. your pads are just about 4-5 inches too big. once you get older and stronger bigger pads will be better for you. you just need something right now that you can move in.

  • wow it seems like every thing u hav iz 2 big 4 u

  • pads too big for you

  • wow guys taker eazy the kids like 5-10 years old

  • wow u suck , get some legal pads -.-

  • pads too too big for this lil tyke.

  • lol

  • Learn to use your STICK on low shots to control your rebounds!!! VIP!!!

When you are dropping to your butterfly to stop a shot along (or just off) the ice, your stick should re-direct the puck to the corners or above the net on the boards. Never allow rebounds straight out in front of you. Your GAA will improve dramatically from controlling your rebounds.

  • no offence but those pads look to big for you. You look uncomfortable.

  • rbk 8k there just pas i rather buy nike vapor 3x.

and plus your just wasting money u ould of bought rbk 1k

  • wow huge pads

  • i hate the 8k pads

  • he gets up with the wrong leg

  • TOO Big of Pads, Keep your stick on the ice, and watch that your pads are flat on the ice.

  • i went to rick heinz!!!!!!!!!

  • nice job , keep up the good work

  • your pads are too big

  • your a real good goalie but the only thing u have to work on is a stance so u can get into the butterfly faster and then u can do a quick power slide off your right leg

  • hockeylover246 is right little man...u wanna be able to get to the rebound as fast as possible. If,for instance the rebound goes to the left and u get up wt ur left foot its too long. if u get up wt ur right foot then u save urself an extra step

  • ur good just 2 big pads

  • pads are to big

  • BiiiG size to that lil guy

  • its all pads

  • Save those pads for next year. Tell dad to buy you new pads that are two inches shorter. Great training.. keep it up.

  • If you had pads that fit you you could move alot more fluidly.

  • haha at first i thougth this was a friend of mine from mitch korn's

and to everyone who says he sucks, everyone starts somewhere even you

  • he is getting up with the wrong leg, in a game, he would move much quicker if he gets up with the leg opposite to the puck

  • Goalies should first lift the leg on the side that they want to go to. That allows them to turn faster to face the puck and push off with their other leg. It seems awkward but that is what this drill is trying to teach.

  • NO see for example you stop the puck and it deflects to the right. that means you want to go

to right that means you have to (if your on ice)

push with your left skate and slide or skate to the right i hope you get it you guys aren't stupid or retarded do what ever you feel Comfortable with

  • pads are a little too big however, he is not getting his legs far enough apart, in the start, to actually get the pad flush with the ice. Needs a better coach or parent who knows more of how to buy equipment and how to work with him.

  • WAYYYYYY too big of pads

  • Definately

  • Needs some smaller pads id hes only a begginer. Cant fall to the butterfly properly because of pads.

  • pads are big and he sucks

  • everybody startes as a beginner

  • yeah sharky shame on you.

  • pads a little big

  • This drill helps goalies cover the 5-hole with a flat stick on the ice as he goes down for the initial shot then rotate the torso and lift his weak-side leg for a good push off to reposition himself for a rebound. Goalies should always lift their leg furthest from the puck. If repositioning to their left, they should raise their right leg first.
