I'm afraid of spiders since I could remember, but this fucking movie changed my life when I was about 7 years old. It made me paranoid, I still check inside food packages, toilet seat, clothes, shoes, bedsheets befores sleeping. I cry whenever I see a spider and I fainted once because of one. Shit like this shouldn't be done.

I remember writing a sequel to this movie when I was like nine. I called it Arachnophobia 2: The New Nest. Basically, the Delbert character was now the lead and starts a group of exterminators to kill off new spiders that have killed off most of the residents in Caniama. Just made it four pages....and then, 9 yr old ADD led me to other things like action figures. But this is still one of my favorite movies.

my spider rules are very simple. spiders will only live in my house on two conditions: if they are a wolf spider, wolf spiders are common in my house so i wont kill them. 2nd if they are outside i wont kill them. 3rd if i see one in my house out in the open i will give it a minute to get to cover. if it doesnt get to cover by the time i come back. i kill it.
