@Prtscrable You're not supposed to default. You can add one by right clicking and selecting "New Folder" its mainly just for your own preference and to keep things organized.

If you do choose to create an AddOn folder just extract your files into the AddOn folder, if not just extract it into the Interface folder.

Try opening your map, there should be a hide/unhide button. Or if you mean at the side of your screen, there should be a very small white tab you can click.
