  • Gotta tell ya...as much as I love this version, it just isn't the same for me since Lennon was killed. Can you "imagine" how solid this lineup would be if they still had John Lennon singing and playing guitar alongside Richard and Taylor? Boggles the mind. Just pure genius.

  • where is the SITAR ???? screw this. Is Brian in the house ???

  • I'd take the frontman too if the songwriter/guitarist saw fit to bring him along

-------Probably one of the best versions of this song-----------

  • This is one of my favorite Rolling Stones songs!

  • This is pretty great.

    Everyone sounds great.

    Mick sings properly.

    Charlie's good inne.

  • Timely? Or should we have outgrown this?

  • Taylor was the sole reason for the band's halcyon days? Like Beggars Banquet and Let It Bleed? Some Girls? Satisfaction? Taylor is so overrated, it's actually somewhat astounding. The best thing for everyone involved was when he quit. His playing in '73 was a fucking embarrassment. This b.s. perpetuated by Taylorheads that he was the key to the band's success was, and is, utter nonsense. Ronnie is great and he fits the band. And, Taylor's career since he quit the Stones has been abysmal.

  • @chadelind

I used to half-way think this true as well and still don't believe that he was responsible for the band's success. Now, I just sit back and appreciate how awesome both of them were. Not suggesting you do likewise...I'm just sayin,

  • IT DOESN'T JIVE TO COMPARE MUSICIANS THAT HAVE HAD 60 YEARS TO HONE THEIR CRAFT TO ANYONE YOUNGER. THE YOUNGER ARTIST CANNOT COMPETE. THE ROLLING STONES HAVE STOOD THE TEST OF TIME IN MANY MUSICAL GENRES, THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS SONG AND VIDEO. RESPECT DAVEDJ

  • What a great singer Charlie Watts has.

  • @nobodady1 "Don't you ever call me your drummer again! You're my singer!" -C. Watts after punching out Mick

  • @stewajf Thanks for catching the allusion.

  • @nobodady1 No problem whatsoever. Keith says Mick was headed toward flying out the window, but he was wearing Keith's jacket so Keith grabbed him.

  • You go, Charlie!!! Watts drives this band especially on this song.

  • mnaicck- Mick Taylor LEFT the band. Yes his playing was and is amazing- Ronnie brought "fun" back to the songs.

Pining for Mick Taylor is a waste of time. When the Stones tour again-Give me stage left in front of Ronnie

  • Keith and Woody...awesome!

  • what's missing is Mick T. Taylor, as everyone knows, was the sole reason for the bands halcyon days. The banal Wood, plugging away here on acoustic guitar like a chimney sweep brooming the hallway of a sturgeon trawler, could never hope to reach the rarefied air of pentatonic scale doodling. Taylor's soaring solo's, coupled with the fact that he co-wrote 'Sway' and played on at least five songs on Exile On Main Street merit him a place in the R' n R Hall of Fame on his own accord.

  • Very cool version. The Stones should do an entire tour in this small arena fashion. They just have to do a million shows.

  • Very close to the original album version.

  • Charlie is fantastic as always

  • this was the first cd of the stones i got by the age of 11...and i still can't stop listen to it...stripped is a fucking great recording!!!

  • This kicks ass on the 1973 live cut. Yeah. . . you gotta be a young kid to rock it. . . NOT!

  • Stripped version is very good one.

  • No sitar ??? forget this.....

  • gostaria de achar este dvd para vender (stripped)

  • I have the CD

  • @hugopereira14 cd i have too , i need the dvd !

  • Very impressive! Just think about a Taylor solo putting this over the top!

  • Hell yeah

  • Fucking Google bought Youtube and now all I get is SPAM ads while I am trying to watch videos! THIS FUCKING SUCKS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great version

  • Stones são insuperáveis! great keith

  • Realmente, a melhor versão!

  • k. richards is god

  • Oasis blows compared to the Greatest Rock n Roll Band in the World.

  • any band blows compared to these guys, the only ones that come close are the beatles, stooges or jt & the heartbreakers

  • @CFKMAN oasis is one of the greatest bands in world, so, shut your mouth !!!!

  • very good version maybe because keith is on acoustic, and i think they perform better in small theaters and clubs but this song sounds better than it did on their TOTA tour anyone agree.

  • yes! frekin love this tour!

  • Just another example of why they are the GREATEST Rock n' Roll band of ALL TIME , BAR NONE !!!!!!!

  • GREEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

my favorite Stone' song with stray cats blues

  • do you like the song in between those 2?

  • Good version

  • Blow-asis can't touch this

  • Yes, the original record was all acoustic except for the bass, and it was a 1930's toy drum outfit called a London Jazz Kit Set that Watts played. Missing here also is the late Brian Jones' sitar and tamboura as on the original.

  • My personal favourite Stones song, this and "Start Me Up" both classics!!

  • MICK...!!! Look at the physique...the man's in his 50's here, people. Goodness!!

  • Hell yeaaa dude!!

  • How to play on guitar: Capo 4th Fret, Chords

    G, C, D, A, B

  • B E F# C# E#

    whitout caop..

  • i play tabs... i shud look it up?

    yes indeed so george

  • I love this version so much....

  • these acoustic vercions are the best ones!

  • the original version WAS acoustic, man

  • AND it was played with a kiddies drum kit

  • Early days, someone wrote that he heard a good band, called the Rolling Stones and they needed to lose that "pillow lipped" singer. He is the Stones. How many singers in the world has someone called a rooster on acid??

  • I had forgotten about that quote...." A Rooster on Acid"! LMAO!

  • not as good as the original but still respectable

  • 2:55

Check out Mick. Greatest frontman ever. Ever. Page, Morrison, Axl, Bono, Daltry, Stipe, Martin, Jerry...all great, but all second to Mick. If I'm starting a band, and I need a singin frontman, I'm taking Mick Jagger.

  • Great analysis, I would take Sam Cooke over all of them. The CD of his live performance in Miami is untouchable - a very edgy Sam Cooke. It is no wonder why Rod Stewart idolizes him. Jagger is great, but Sam Cooke was from another planet. He and Buddy Holly will never be replaced.

  • Don't you mean live in Harlem Square?

  • Harlem Square is in Miami.

  • very true, there is only oner jagger

  • @bionicbigfoot Page was not a frontman, Plant on the other hand...

  • @TOCO10TOCO10

Sure he was. Tommy Page..?? You seriously don't know who he was? And you call yourself a rock fan?!? May I suggest, good sir, a quick dash to Google and/or Wiki? Sheesh!

  • @bionicbigfoot Just relax, i thought you were talking about Jimmy page, my friend...

  • @bionicbigfoot you are fucken nuts..

  • when was this video took?

  • 95'

  • guitar experts, do you know the tuning on this song, i know there's a capo on the 4th but what's the tuning, thank you for your help whomever supplies the info

  • I believe it is a modified dropped-D:

    D-A-D-F#-A-D

If one person plays that tuning (a la Keith) and the other standard tuning, it sounds great...

  • the best Street Fighting Man ever

  • IMPRESIONANTE!!!!

  • if it wasnt for the rock and roll and ill probably wont be listening to rock ill be listening to crappy rap music from the 90s lol

  • Oasis's version is worse! :P no one can compete with the Stone's among other musicians

  • u sure got that right Stones r my favorite!!!

  • thanx fo the vid !!!

  • u welcome it`s good hu :D Stones RULE baby!!

  • what do you think about the "All Rolling Stones, and All greatest Hits tour"?...that would be historical!!! (as usual with the Stones!!! .. see ya' tommorow!!

  • can ya buy this on dvd?????

  • So fuckin' cool- acoustic version! Turn the volume up!

  • INFOWARS.

    stop tyranny/stop the police state

support FREEDOM/The Bill Of Rights get informed at INFOWARS.

  • Just plain old bad asses, God love'em

  • A bunch of crazy old dudes, kicking ass like no one can.

  • No one has the same stage presence as Mick Jagger, don't even talk about Robert Plant (whose voice is shot from smoking), Bono, or Jon Bon Jovi...

  • No One can cover this song! The Stones can onlyu play this song!

  • Rage against the machine cover of this song is cool to

  • every cover of this song is cool, that's because the song is so cool

  • check out the end of oasis's 'lyla' very similar to 'street fightin man' ending.

  • lyla by oasis sounds identical to this

  • That's correct, but this number was made in 1968. And Lala in 2003???

  • Dude every song by Oasis sounds like something else.

  • love the voodo lounge tour. Reminds me of the stereoblasters

  • Yeah drums kick ass in this song. Then again EVERYTHING kicks ass in this song.

  • this is more like it. they played this one right. not to fast and mumbling. this is cool

  • The Stones Rule...Love the words..."The time is ripe for violent revolution!" Great piano and drum solo's.

  • Thanks for uploading this! I've been looking for this version for many time
