@robcaseyire, I currently do not own a motard. I do own an 08 Hayabusa, and an 11 zx10. I was going to trade my Suzuki in on the Kawasaki, but I could not part with it. I like the bike too much. Oh, I don't claim to be a professional motard racer, but I have seen enough races in my time to recognize proper technique in motard racing. Having the leg out appears in motorcross racing, not professional motard racing. Unless of course the person riding is a squid. I have roadraced cars and motorcycle

petr vorlicek German championchip winner 2006, 2007 and 2009 rides on suzuki, i also had the chance to ride a suzuki 450 RMZ and the bike was great. trust me, there are a lot of suzukis in the supermoto bussiness, and i say that although i ride a Husaberg FS650c ;)

I have -08 YZ450F that costed 5500e in MX condinition last year, and I bought now SM wheels (16.5" front and 17" year,excel with excel pro hubs), magura radial brake conversion and STM slipper clutch. All for 2000e.

SM's are NOT CHEAP! I almost had to sell my GSXR to afford those damn parts. But oh boy is it now more than fun!

You can't practically crash a supermoto so bad that it's going to cost you a fortune for repair. MX plastics are cheap and good handlebars can take lot of abuse before they twist.

But it's really almost impossible to get a proper supermoto for less than 3000e. Maybe some old Husaberg 450 might be in that price range. DR suzuki or any other low-end enduros are total piece of shits in terms of power and chassis.

Do you want the bike to be street registered or strictly offroad?

first i want to buy 125ccm or 250ccm bike and then, when i learn some skills. than we can talk about 450ccm+ bike :)

i know some people who ride MX and they told me that i can buy good MX for 1500-2500euros.

i want to be street registered but i will ride more offroad than street registered. :)

MX bikes are almost impossible to get street legal...or atleast in the europe. :(

You can get nice KTM 250SXF for 2500e or yamaha a bit less than that. But don't look for 2strokes. They are boring as hell compared to 4strokes.

If you plan to make it motard then look straight for 450's, as 250 is too underpowered for tarmac riding. But for MX riding it's more than enough for beginners. :)

I love the instant torque from 4strokes and the sound they make is way more better. After few 2strokers, I never want one again. :I

Bad jettings or oil problems and you easily seize piston or whole cylinder. 4T's are much less hassle to work on, and last longer with same piston and crank. Just check valve lash regulary and change oils often. :)

I rode my friends 125SM couple years ago when he had one. It was pretty nice bike with quality parts (ohlins suspension stock, brembo brakes). Felt very solid.

I don't know do they make their own motors or use other manufacturers engines. They are rare thats for sure. Might be pain in the ass to find repair parts for them, like Husaberg.

Other than that, I think they are very underrated because not many own them and they don't make pure MX bikes. But I would say they are good bikes. :)
