yep, any dog can do it if they want to. only dog shows where they judge on breed characteristics, are the only kind of dog activities where they discriminate on breeds, for obvious reasons. quite often, mixes end up doing better than set breeds, in some activities. kind of like this dog, a mix, that was rescued from the dog pound, was only half a foot from the record (at the time), and the dog that owned the record was a mix too.
I wish I could get my dog into some sort of competition like this. Until I figure it out, we'll have to stick with making videos of him jumping off our waterfall into the pool. :) Nice video.

imposible for his longest jump to be 27'6'', the world record is sumthing around 25 fett sumthing, and the measure is were his hind quarters enter the water for all of you who will say but he landed at 27 feet, his feet landed at about 24, that is incredibly good but not 27'6'', so stop exaderating, not trying to be a pesimist
First off, these were the official stats from the judges. Also, the current world record holder was at this event (the dog's name is Country), but however didn't do as well, and finley had won. At the show, they were saying that Finley's longest was half a foot shorter than the world record, therefore making the world record at 28 feet, not "25 fett sumthing" as you say. So I was not exaggerating, I was just being factual in including the scores given to him by the judges that day.
