your first one is incorrect. He does not "bounce" the handle off the back of his hand as you do, he twirls the whole knife in his hand to make your "bouncing handle" turn forward.

@toodamlazy408 there are two sides, a safe side with a square back and the other end is the sharpened blade, like any knife that isn't double sided. Flipping a butterfly knife requires you to bounce the back of the knife off the back of your hand.

So me attempting to do the first trict: stabbed my right hand and sliced my left, and also almost dropped the knife on my foot... Not bad for the first try!

From what I heard back in the Philipines (yes I am Filipino) is that they call it the butterfly knife because of the movement involved when opening the handle, THIS is why I prefer the term Balisong, which I think means the art of small knifes.

I think on the first one you swing too far out, and it can hurt your knuckles. Just try swinging it around. Second one is beast though
