I had the same problem when I bought my new bmx last week the tire would pop every hour or so just riding around I didn't case ay curbs or anything, maybe you did and had a slow leak, or had the problem I had, if you do then put more lining on the rim, hockey tape also works

Today, I bought my first bmx bike. I rode around for abit, then went inside for supper. I wanted to go ride it again, but the tire popped.
It was overfilled w/ air.
