If it was a serious accident, the rider would have been lucky that law enforcement was on the scene immediately to call in aid. Get a grip. With malice and forethought, the CHP officer knowingly endangers the life of motorcyclists with this action. The guy could have been riding totally within the law (prior to entering the turn) and still spilled it with the "imminent threat" parked facing him. If you deny that you tense up when you see a speed-trap right in front of you - esp. around a blind corner, you are just lying. This little speed trap should be made illegal (for cops) and they should be accountable for endangering riders

The rider obviously wasn't riding totally within the law if he's freaked out and attempted to slow down so he doesn't get caught speeding. Here the cop was a contributing factor, but not likely a "proximate" cause b/c cops can't always reasonably foresee that where they r standing will be "the" cause of an accident to occur.

@DevoDevoT grab the front hard in a turn, and you will tuck it. Trail braking or braking in a curve is a ginger art that takes a lot of experience to do without hitting the ground. I always tell people to lean harder and go. Any sudden upset to the bike in a curve and you will go down.
