Well, we can see that waht really matters is not the graphics or its more the fun factor ... For instance, I stiil like to play mario world but a nephew of mine certanly will ask me: Heym, uncle, did you play games like that? How fun do you have?
So, Super NES was my 1 system, i ve grown up with DKC1, 2, Mario world, all stars... F-ZERO. Superr MEtroid ( I love). And nowday when I see a GTA for xbox 360, it dosnt cause astonishing in me like Ridge racer for ps1. Althout its graphics is better
i remember playing the jurassic park demo on one of those discs they used to sell that had like 10 or so demo games, also that 2Extreme game was on one of them, the crash bandicoot video as well... i wonder if those demo discs are worth anything anymore... hm... but i miss the old playstation games, back then they were really well done, the PS2 games always seem to be inferior... in some way or another... but i guess playstation went through the same when it came out...
The thing I miss about the PS1 was that it was a drastic step up from anything before it. The freedom was unreal and the feeling of experiencing a real revelation in gaming will never happen again. The new generation of gamers will never understand this unfortunately. However, I am glad I was there to experience it.
@whoohaaXL Saturn, Playstation, N64... they were all contributors to that era. Saturn was underrated in my opinion. I realize that more now than in my youth. I should also mention other PC games of the day, such as Grim Fandango. Left a lasting impression on me. Very underrated as well.
