It's 350 fps at 85lb and 31" draw. A bit misleading because this leads you to believe that the bow she is shooting is capable of "almost 360 fps." Show me a woman, her size, that can pull and hold that.

Yes the flatter a bow shoots this is true. I can use my 20 yard pin at 30 and shoot bulls eyes. At 40 just about 1"-1"1/2 low, and I only shoot a Hoyt Turbo Hawk IBO 320. I'm getting 290-292.

sorry but she aint shootin no 360 fps, that bow shoots 360 fps with a 30 inch draw and 70 lb draw with 200 grain arrows. i bet shes only pullin 50 lbs with a 26 or 27 inch draw...310 fps tops

I'm inclined to agree ... perhaps the bow itself is capable of those speeds but only when the draw weight is cranked or using nasty unforgiviing cams with harsh force curves. 360 fps is nasty fast.

Ok, I'm not an archer, but inorder to get that kind of speed are you shooting super light arrows? If you were to shoot a heavier hunting arrow would your speed drop considerably?? Also, a lite arrow would give you speed but would it suffer from lack of penitration?? For penitration wouldn't you need mass at speed??? Again, don't beat me up, I'm not an archer..

@wwood14 The speeds are IBO speeds, I think, so there are standards to how light an arrow can be used in their speed claims. Also, newer carbon arrows are much lighter than older aluminum arrows. Heavier arrows would reduce speed, yes, but only a few feet per second. And a lighter arrow wouldn't really suffer from penetration problems. It is common for an arrow, even light arrows on relatively light draw weight bows, to pass completely through game animals if hit in the kill zone.

@camk31 I agree, she is not a 30" draw shooter but Mathews doesn't cheat like other companies (aka PSE) and make speed claims at 75 lbs or even higher. All Mathews speed ratings are at 70 lbs/30". This is the industry standard, which as previously stated, many companies do not oblige to get their inflamed velocity stats. Funny how so many companies make single cam bows now. Single cams have been around a Looong time too. Must have it's merits since it's regularly copied by so companies many.
