Only if you drag race the car. A rear spoiler is designed to create more downforce on the rear of the car, and during hard acceleration more weight transfers to the rear of the car which can cause more front wheel spin, but for time attack or road racing cars it will help the car corner because more downforce is added to the rear of the car which increases cornering traction. It all depends on what you plan on doing with the car.

This civic only have a roof spoiler. It isnt rice or what ever but it keeps more traction in corners. And yes even a FWD powerd cars can lose traction @ the rear in a corner. Even a STD EK Type r have a roofspoiler.
