The US victory at the battle of Midway, only 6 months atfer Pearl Harbor bombardement, even luck in decision's taking played a major role, shows strikingly through these pictures how the USA had already upgraded its army, actually its navy to start with. IMO, the USA entered the war with a surprisingly optimistic spirit (given the shitty situation in december 1941, especially on the Eastfront, even ater the relief of Moscow battle), confident in their superior industry, or industrial potential.

Petr, why did you post Battle of Midway, when the Battle was Mainly a Naval Battle, because I saw a Land Battle, in which the Japanese never landed on Midway,

how did soldiers fort in the ww2 there style of fighting for (example) today our soldiers shoot from distance and then call airstrike then move on wen the shooting stops. wat was the way american sodiers do

It changed depending on the situation, theres thousands of ways to approach a situation. The reason why American soldiers use the tactic you mentioned is because it works against the enemy they are fighting today.

If America went to war with China tommorow, they would use very different tactics, there are millions of variables. (are the enemy dug in, hiding, unaware that an attack is going to happen, what's the terrain like, how many of them are there?) that sort of thing.

man this footage is awesome. I spent my whole childhood playing ww2 and pretending i was a soldier and soaking up every piece of info on the war i could find. I remember when i saw colour footage from the war for the 1st time. I couldnt believe my eyes.

Nice video man! What music did you use for this? It sounds like some generic rock tune. To be honest, the music suits the video in a sense, but it is ironic considering rock and roll didn't become widespread until the late 50s, almost 10 years after the War ended. But that's just my take on it, all in all, fantastic video!

A lot of this footage is in good shape. It was either preserved well or it has been restored. Great video though in any case!

Midway was the turning point against the Japanese. From this battle onward they were on the defensive.

It is rather disturbing because these songs are since WW2 and they make an documentary for u can't just watch a movie as 100 years ago without sound but some of music recorders as sony might just claim the medieval music too :)) . Cheers mate and u have my support :D
