no you cant use a foil kite in the water incase you crash the kite and because it isnt inflatable it wont float and will be impossible to relaunch from the water.
its all well saying if kiddies buy a 12 m, but i brought my first c-12m wen i was 15 and because of previous experiences i didnt have any trouble, didnt take lessons either... its all about the beforehand experiences.. its a v dangerous sport though and i think showing going through the power zone on land is crazy.... any how, gr8 vid..
You know what's my problem? I cant find a wind for me- i mean when the wind is weak it is obviously not enough to pick up my 11m c-shape kite, but when it is strong enough i cant even walk backwards (although i set all on less power), coz it is too strong for me. My weight is 53kg. Maybe i should change kite to bow? Would that help?
Nice vid guys but I don't think it's a good idea to fly the kite through the power zone on land. Remember YOU know when the wind's light enough to do that but imagine some kiddie buying a second hand 12m Ckite and trying that at 25 kn... *.*
I just bought a seakite should be here tomorrow, and this really helped cheers :)

Hi, I have a question!
Can I use a Foil Kite in the water?
devildevil321 2 years ago
it will sink like a brick and you will never get it back....

I'll put it too you this way.....
If you feel that you will be THAT good your very FIRST time and you will NEVER let the kite hit the water then yes you use a Foil Kite.
This is highly unlikely.

Yes sure... a 12 year old kiddie will have that much money and will buy it without permission of his parents and launch it himself?! Whoa!!

...start thinking b4 writing. It's not about age but about knowledge and skill. If you're a kiter you should know that it's dangerous, superman. =)

Start thinking before writing? Let me tell you this, you cannot write without thinking! xD
And yes I am a kiter, and I know it's dangerous (in extreme conditions) but in mild wind it's not that very dangerous.
Perhaps you should "start thinking before writing" ?
