  • Trace Adkins- Youre gnna miss this is a great song!

  • i freaking love you chervony! RAP IS TERRIBLE MUSIC

  • oh my goshh. i freaking love you THAT MUCH MORE. i LOVE country music too. and yeah. they have a song about EVERY.THING. :D

  • hahahaha....lmao...You dougied!!! Everything you said is true...But, DMX, Eminem & T.I are real :)

  • Lmfao, omg I love you

  • I LOVE this video :) i listen to just about every different type of music except for like opera and music that is more that style. But i absolutely LOVE country music. Its what i grew up on, and i still love it.

  • I love this video!:) it has made my day!:)

  • Lecrae is phenomenal and I agree with you :)

  • Country music comes from the heart, rap music comes from the genitals. 'Nuff said.

  • I love both. They're both amazing...lol, just that these rappers now-a-days are dumbing down their lyrics. Lil Wayne openly told that he "dumbed down" his lyrics because of our dying generation. That's what people want for some reason.. :/

  • Lol I love your rap mixes

  • Oh my god, polka music, ahahaha

  • I listen to music that makes me feel like I want to rape and murder 85 year old women.

  • Thank you for this! And I'm a die hard country music fan. Especially Texas red dirt music!! Have her listen to The Casey Donahew band!!!

  • i love most music but i hate music that talks about bitches and hoes and drugs...my family makes fun of me for listening to country but i listen to it because it has been what has helped me get through my grandmothers death this last yr. The lyrics to some songs such and "if heaven wasn't so far away" express exactly how i feel.

  • These is what I listen to for anyone interested:

    1 - Rock

    2 - Country

    3 - Oldies (50s)

    4 - Hip-Hop

I grew up on hip-hop and it has the biggest influence in my life, especially DMX and Eminem, but rap nowadays isn't my cup of tea anymore. I grew up and liked other stuff.

  • With the exception of a few songs. I personally LOVELOVELOVE Eminem.

  • I listen to country constantly, with small hints of rock/metal...and when I'm in a fun mood I listen to rap/pop. This video made me notice that....well I only listen to that stuff when I feel like acting stupid. Baha. xD

  • I have a defense to the father song, it goes by the name of Mockingbird by Eminem but the rest were, for the most part, pretty true. GIMME DAT HOE!

  • I go from Eminem(My favorite artist of all time) to Avril Lavigne to Adele, Killswitch Engage, Michael Jackson, etc... I just love music BUT...........I hate country music! I don't give a crap what anyone says, that is terrible music........right along with polka

  • Most of the artist I listen to I would never known about them if I didnt actively seek them out. Everytime i have my friend, who mostly listens to gangsta rap, listen to the rappers I listen to it blows him away.

  • I like country and rap as long they have meaning in the lyrics period.

  • @516mrme

    Same here bro!

  • 5. "Uncommon Valor" deals with the struggles of a Vietnam Vet overcoming the horror of war.

    6. "Narcissists (remix)" Sage Francis. Song makes fun of people who define themselves by the close they were and how in the end it makes us feel empty.

    7. "Bottle Dreams" Eyedea--song about a girl who is abused by her father and uses a violin to escape the pain of the abuse.

    8. "Ham N Eggs" Tribe Called Quest. Good for Thanksgiving.

    9 "Mothership" song about UFO.

    10. "The Winter" Apathy.

  • you obviously don't understand rap music, you just listen to too much radio and watch to much TV, the kind of rap you described is like 30% of all rap music, most rappers talk about life and society. I'm just saying, dont critisize what you dont understand or know anything about

  • @isaksimonsson

I grew up in Hip-Hop, even when I thought all this country music/Rock stuff was gay. The stuff on the radio and off the radio is all about aggression, violence and money. Even when I listen to niggas like E-Ness free styling, its all about violence and doing this and that to you. In HS, when dudes would battle at lunch, all they did was talk about having sex with your girl and shooting you with this weapon. Even niggas not on the radio is trash. Only a handful of good ones.

  • One last thing. go to the search engine and type in the words in fact you can just copy and paste in the search engine; Talib Kweli "Four Women" and tell me what you think that song is about?

  • There are four points I want to make to your video:

    1. All the country songs you listed were one-dimensional. They talk about nothing but relationships hip hop is more diverse.

    2. Not all early hip hop is about partying have you heard of "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash.

    3. I used to hate country music but now I have become more open minded. I am willing to listen to all kinds of music.

    4. KRS-One said-Hip=Intelligient+Hop=Movement=Hip Hop=Intelligient Movement

  • @Sagefrakrobatik

    1. Country is way diverse too. I know rap songs that have meaning too it like Changes by Pac, but for every one rap song, there are 10 negatives ones.

    2. The message was a turning point in hip-hop. The message introduced the world to social-conscious rap, before that it was all about dancing and MCing to the beat. Notice how rappers delight has a disco sound to it.

    3. KRS-One and Talib Kweli are social conscious rappers, but not many of them out there.

  • @Jovan14606

    1. You have no proof. The reason why you only know negative hip hop is because thats all VIBE, XXL, Radio one, BET, MTV promotes. They dont promote intelligent hip hop because they dont think it will sell.Doesnt mean there is less socially conscious hip hop you just have to dig for it.

    2. Does it matter? Why cant hip hop be both conscious and party music? There needs to be a balance.

  • @Sagefrakrobatik

    1. The fact that negative hip-hop sells is the reason why there is so much of it. People who are trying to get signed know what sells, so they copy that style and come up off that. You can name your social conscious rappers but I bet I can find more negative ones in my own city alone. Go to any hood and listen to any rap battle on YouTube, all they talk about is violence and sex.

    2. Yes it does. No one wants to dance while being preached about rape.

  • @Jovan14606 The only reason why "Negative" hip hop sells is because they are not given the same media attention as underground hip hop. I bet you any money if MURS got the same media attention as Lil wayne. He would sell just as many records or more buts its speculative.

  • @Sagefrakrobatik

Its sells because thats what people want to hear. Record companies only care about making money, so if violence and sex sells, they're going to promote that because it earns revenue. If for some reason, social rap started selling, the major record labels would drop the violent artist and promote the social rap because thats what people are buying. Its not the media's fault. Its the consumers.

  • @Jovan14606 Of course. If that is the only hip hop they are exposed to. Trust me. I did a study (content analysis) on the hip hop media, they rarely entertained the notion of socially conscious hip hop. Consumers cant choose someone like K-Rino over Gucci maine if they are not aware of that choice. You could be right but you could be wrong. you dont have any hard evidence to support your argument.

  • @Sagefrakrobatik

The majority of people weren't aware of gangster rap before Ice T and the NWA came along, but when they blew up, all of sudden it got the attention of the media, FBI and record labels. Same thing happened with "The Message", it was all a disco style of hip-hop, then they changed the game and paved the way for other artist and group to rap about those things. Then RUN DMC came and gave hip-hop that attitude, then NWA came and we have what it is today. History is my evidence.

  • @Jovan14606 At the same period alot of the hip hop magazines and media in general started to emerge but now. There is no excuse why some rappers get more coverage than others. There are alot of things people werent aware of before that became popular still you cant say the majority of the genre is shit because of it. NWA was important to hip hop but not every hip hop song is molded in the image of NWA or Run-DMC there is wide variance

  • "Country is way diverse too." You really want to go there lol?

Ten rap songs you probably never knew exist

1."Deny" Josh Martinez-chronicles the history of the holocaust from several different perspectives

    2. "The Grand Deception" by K-Rino--a song about the masonic symbolism on the back of the dollar bill, origins of Christianity, mythology etc.

    3. "Animal Style" MURS song about a gay couple struggling for acceptance

    4. "Clear Blue Skies"by Jugganauts deals with racism

  • Real hip hop is not on the radio....

  • @JoshB6047

Real hip-hop is not off the radio either. All these dudes I see trying to come up, rap about the same things on the radio.

  • @Jovan14606 If you don't like people generalizing all country music then don't generalize all hip hop. Listen to some Immortal Technique and maybe you might learn a little something about real hip hop...

  • @JoshB6047

Grew up on hip-hop, raised on it. I know what real hip-hop is. Even ya mans IT isn't real hip-hop. REAL HIP-HOP is about dancing. He's a social conscious rapper, every noob thinks thats what real hip-hop is about, but it never started out that way. It was all about dancing.

  • @Jovan14606 There are actually four elements to hip hop.... MCing, DJing, breaking, and graffiti...five if you want to include beat-boxing...it's not just about dancing.

  • @JoshB6047

You're exactly right, but all that was to make people dance. Breaking was during the break of a song, they breaker would start dancing. Before and after that, they'd MC so people can dance and keep the beat the going.

  • Did at the end you say "Dumb and gay? about rap? Not cool, bro. Please tell me I heard incorrectly.

  • @thatquietgirlbecky

I hope you're a guy calling me a bro, girls who say bro are the lamest. Yes I did. Why is it not cool? Because you like rap? Because you don't like that I used the word "gay"? Please understand that no matter how you feel, your comment will not change anything in the video. What has been said has been said. Instead of wasting your time nagging to me, its best to just move on with your life and realize nobody cares about your feelings.

  • @Jovan14606 I was talking about the "gay" thing. You were associating it with something negative when ironically enough, the majority of your videos talk about being politically correct. Now I"m a fan of your videos, that's not gonna change after your comment. But seriously, it's not just my feelings you might hurt (a straight girl)... you probably have a number of gay viewers.

  • @thatquietgirlbecky

I practice some PC, but I know my videos don't talk about it. I may have gay viewers but I'm not going to let that change the way I talk. I have fat girls who watch my videos too but that didn't stop me from making "Fat Girl Angle Photos". If it offends gays, oh well. I accept them just as they are, but they should accept me for the way I am. Its my channel and I want to say the things I want in the way I want without tip-toeing around peoples feelings.

  • @Jovan14606 Oh you.

  • For "Gimme That Girl", you shouldve said "Sweatpants, hair tied, chillin with no makeup on. That's when youre the prettiest, i hope that you dont take it wrong" (Best I Ever Had-Drake)

  • I love a lot of type of music. I'm more into rock though. Polka music is the worse, but I'm not a big fan of rap either.

  • "my daughter is a 5 star HOE, she aint dealing with niggas thats BROKE"

    ROFLMAO!

  • Chervony, what's your opinion on independent music? I personally like some of it, like the Killers or whatever, but all that out there undergound artist I don't understand. If you're proud to be different that's great, but, I don't know. Just my opinion.

  • "T'm the sun that whatever whatever" That my favorite part lol but really. I like country as much as I like any other type of music that contains words. I'm a classical person.

  • "Drugs, guns, and hoes." You forgot money!

  • I agree I do love rap and hip hop music but I also like country but I do agree these rap songs talking about idiots and hoe's and stuff just gets old and stupid you should check out this song called "these days" by Z-ro he's from houston texas (I is from Texas :D lol) that song of his is awesome I think you would like it

  • I always hate it when people say they hate country music. Ticks me off. I personally like all music except the following: doesn't matter the genre, negative/degrading lyrics/messages (which disqualifies most rap lol), super super heavy scream-o metal where you can't understand them and it sounds like a cat fight, reggae, and mariachi music. I like music in Spanish and other languages... but mariachi... they all. Sound. The. Same. x.x My Mexican husband agrees too lol

  • It's 2011..thats the way the world is now days.

  • i dont listen to country because im not country but there are some cool country songs i guess. bwhahah 2:41! but i mostly like r&b slow jamz the oldies back then was all about love. also i like rap because i can relate. im from the ghetto & thats where rap came from.

  • its kinda funny I was born and raised in the south so all my friends loved country music except for me(I like some songs)but now I just moved to a different state and it's like polka central (like all the music stations are polka music) and I hate polka music too *sigh* oh well.

  • Thank you! Hate rap with a passion and love country and classic rock! This video is exactally how i feel! but i do have to say Eminem's songs are alrite and do have some meaning. other then him rap sucks

  • I love everything including country :) But not polka...nooooo polkaaa. lol

  • Hurry up hoe! Hurry up hoe! The cops are right behind me! Lol. You make me smile Alexis :) Thanks for the video!

  • Just for the record, "God Gave Me You" was written and recorded by Dave Barnes. :)

  • I know this is a little random! but they actually have christian rap! haha it took me awhile to get used to it! but some of the songs are pretty good! I still rather country and rock though! thats just me :)

  • i like both genres, but country music has a story behind it, rap is mainly about cars and fucking bitches. ahahah.

  • About the rapper rapping about GOD giving him his wife, check out lecrae. An amazing christian rapper whom you can tell is from the heart. Listen to trip lee and the 116 clique the all collaborate. I myself honestly love all music. I even listen to japanese music! xD God bless ya bro!
