.......How can u even compare this to Glee???? This is REAL golden age Broadway/Hollywood. OBVS the voices are gonna sound different....just like any older songs/singers. Lea just sounded more modern..... (EXACTLY why I hate glee...they ruin the original song with their good pop voices).

okay so this might be the original version, but the glee version is SO much better, it's the truth. i'm not saying this one isn't good, glee's version is just better. and yeah barbara might be a "legend", but it just happens that a newer version was performed better.

I second that. She was awful... The film version of this song had such better orchestration than the original Broadway one, that's for sure - and had more "oompff" - but that horrible girl just tortured this and should not be allowed to sing it. She did an ok job on the recording, but I cannot stand the no vibrato till the last moment style that most pop/musical theatre type singers are doing these days... it's awful!

Not saying the Lea Michelle version was the best, but it definitely wasn't awful. She is good...and it isn't really her fault they do so much autotune crap on the show.

Shame on all the little ones who think the Glee version is better! I'm a total gleek and yeah, Lea Michelle is lovely, talented, and a solid performer. But Barbra Streisand is a LEGEND, her epic intensity just gives me goosebumps! There's something about Lea's sound that's just too "clean", she doesn't take risks like Barbra does.

There's simply no comparison! :)
