Judging by the comments here, this is another movie that polarises people, just like Full Metal Jacket - either Montana is some respectable icon of a ganster that dies fighting in a blaze of glory, or he's just another criminal that faces a futile end, being shot in the back by those he once worked with, all for nothing.

Scarface is a terrific film, especially one revolving around Tony's excesses, but IMHO The Godfather is most certainly a more powerful message of how power corrupts.
