  • Aw, that was nice of Prime Minister Clark. Clark was a good man

  • Such a well-spoken man with a beautiful heart and a passion for Canada. Where are the Trudeaus of the modern era..

  • @xoxoxmelxoxox Sitting in parliament for Papineau

  • Trudeau's first resignation, why couldn't have been his last?

  • Trudeau was a Leafs fan.

  • There will never be a leader with the strength and honesty as Pierre Elliot Trudeau, a rare breed.

  • P.E.T. a great man and a great legacy

  • @ottvalley

depends on who you ask. Still, what a great life he lead.

  • Joe Clark, Stanley Knowles, Allan MacEachen, Pierre Trudeau - it's sad how the quality of political leadership in Canada has declined, and how decorum in the House has deteriorated.

  • @fishhead06 Joe Who??

  • Fuck, I wish the House was still this good. It's a fucking mess now

  • so true

  • But far less exciting in Quebec

  • Canada needs a new Liberal leader such as Trudeau, politics could get exciting again in Canada.

  • Yeah don't worry I'll Transform the party when I'm older... I know it sounds pretty obnoxious of me. Someone you know little about and know nothing of but I like all feel that politics in this country has watered down to politicians servering their own self interests and engaging in bitter power sturuggles to win seats and not really crafting a future for the entire country. They pit region againt region province against province and Canadian against Canadian. One day it's all going to change!

  • I'll probably be your conservative opponent.

  • It's just a joke man. But if your want to be the leader of the Conservative party of Canada I'll vote for you if your a good guy or girl.

  • A Great Leader

  • i didn't see one woman in the house. amazing!

  • To bad the World leaders of today do not have the intellect of Trudeau.

  • He was a f*** genius. God!

  • One of the qualities of his intellect was comprehensiveness, evident in his bilingualism policies, which give a solution to linguistic tensions involving the entire country, and not just single provinces. Also his addition to the constitution of a charter expressing Canada's universal values. Comprehensiveness too in his foreign policy, where his willingness to engage positively the Soviets and China helped diminish some of the dangerous and hysterical possibilities of the Cold War.
