  • i like computers. i mean seriously, who doesnt?

  • well, someone who is wearing old-fashioned jeans at all occasions is trying to teach me about about good taste? they both have no taste, just different concepts.

someone with taste would never be the owner of a computer company.

  • bill gates wants a taste of steve jobs

  • A question of taste from the man in the turtleneck, now thats funny. All this shows is how arrogant Jobs is and how classy and humble Gates is.

  • random shit: search for "World's Fattest Man - 50% Chance of Surviving.. "it's funny because he is fat

  • What innovating ideas came from Apple? Cant think of anyone.. sure they managed to bring culture in to it in the way that most Apple users seem to think that they are superior(Kind of the same as everyone that drives hybrid cars.).

  • I am a huge Jobs fan... but its funny that his only big win is the font thing.. I mean yeah we get that. The follow ons were nicer devices and music for pay. Cant beat that stuff for profit but I turn around in silicon valley and say 'listen guys ... make more money on your genius' .. since they do a LOT more than all that stuff.

  • DON'T HATE ON ICH PEOPLE. WHERE THE FUCK WOULD YOU BE IF IT WEREN'T FOR THEM?? if you have a MOUSE connected to your computer then shut the fuck up.

  • Steve looks like a bond villian in his black turtleneck sitting stone faced lol

  • @MrsSarb gates was a hippy to the hole group that developed computers smoked a shit load

  • Jobs made a simple point: Think of your own ideas.

  • Por que isso teve que acontecer com ele? Fico triste e decepcionado com a vida e o futuro traiçoeiro que elas nos reserva. Steve não merecia o que lhe aconteceu ;(

Jobs era um ser humano simplismente fantastico!!!

  • Not every life saved has to be in a third world country and starving.

  • @oldmrwonky How an Apple product saved a life: I bought my first Apple product in July to make my work easier- and it has. It has also made it more profitable. I earn better money to take care of my wife and son. In fact, it has opened a new market open to me. I am able to do more as a mentor and support family and friends.

  • @WayneYonke "Tim Berners-Lee used a NeXT computer when he developed the World Wide Web in 1990 and has said the computer greatly simplified the process, enabling him to write in a matter of mere months the code that gave birth to the Internet age." - Harvard Review Weekly

  • @WayneYonke

Didn't really save a life then did it. Nice story though.

  • @OldMrWonky thanks for your comments, I am sure we can learn a lot from you.

  • @OldMrWonky it is disappointing to see people that are so narrow minded. I hope you change the world for the better.

  • i dont know why but i love Steve

  • @OldMrWonky Money alone solves nothing. Billions $ have been given through charitable causes before, and you now have Bob Geldolf and Bono saying it did not make the impact they intended. If you think that just money makes a different think again. SJ salary was $1 a year. We will never know the lives he saved with the products he helped create. He probably did more good in his lifetime than you can calculate if you just for a second think. Wealth isn't obscene. You can't say he gave nothing.

  • @OldMrWonky Why do people believe they have an entitlement to the billions of dollars someone else have made for themselves? How many jobs has winamp created and how much money do they "give away"? I am not an evangelist, and Apple was never first to market. No one here is putting every tech achievement on one guy. SJ did have a sense of taste for products and how they best worked that allowed people to be creative and turn their craft into a business model, where before it was not possible.

  • That's why you don't see people throwing rocks at Apple and Microsoft but at Wall Street, because these people have pushed our civilisation forward and they deserved all the attention and all the money they earned, whereas the dirty bankers making money by risking our savings deserve a bullet in the forehead.

  • I love how Gates always stays humble throughout the discussion while Jobs at times can't help elevating himself and undermining Gates even though he tries hard not to. Still, RIP Steve Jobs.

  • Good

  • Why didn't Jobs give JOBS? Apple is sitting on BILLIONS...

  • @AbbyNormal777 I don't understand your question. Apart from the jobs created by Apple, Pixar and NeXT, Steve Jobs created entire industries that before did not exist. Think of people doing podcasts, people creating Apps, designers and photographers running their business. I think Steve Jobs did what he could to create many jobs. The billions that you believe Apple is sitting on, are being used for what will come in the next years. Your logic is failed, but if that is what you want to believe ...

  • @AbbyNormal777 RIP Steve Jobs. Looking at this vedo, I can see the difference in culture. The difference in education. The difference in intellectual capacity.

  • Thank you so much, you indispensable influenced my life and work. Rest in peace, Steve Jobs

  • @MrsSarb Thank you for nailing it. RIP, Steve.

  • May you rest peacefully in nirvana, Steve Jobs!

  • Showing true class there Mr. Gates. Bless you.

    R.I.P. Steve Jobs

  • Rip to one of the greatest in the planet.

  • RIP

  • hahaha slogan of the iPad 1 a few years later : "I'ts Magic"

  • Jobs

  • Apple is like Ferrari.

    Microsoft is like Ford.

One is nice looking, but totally impractical for everyday use (Apple).

One is cheap to upgrade and compatible with everything (Ford).

Anyone buying anything made by Apple has too much money, sorry, too much CREDIT.

  • bill gates... classy.

  • Fuck that elevator music.

  • Steve Jobs is right about Microsoft!!

  • What jobs said back then, whatever year it was, STILL is holds truth even today.

  • Haha, gates knows Jobs is magical!

  • Habakkuk 3:17-18 "Though the fig tree shall not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, though lacking the product of the olive tree, And the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls : yet, I am happy

  • "... for the most part"

  • Wats the name of this song?

  • thumbs up if you are here bcuz of facebook

  • @enej88 test worked

  • @CombatMedicRN Lately, Microsoft's entertainment efforts are somewhat interesting. Too bad they are afraid to invest more in some concepts, like the Zune

  • @CombatMedicRN smartphones are portable media players/organizers with an awkward phone. I prefer dedicated phones. But if I were to choose a smartphone, I'd pick the one that's best at media playing/organizing

  • Microsoft has NO TASTE at all........look at them. They are copying left and right what Apple does. OS, and now Stores.......phones......shamelessly

  • I think taste is a sense,i can smell the faint sense of sour grapes :P very tastefully done in your retort mr gates.

  • @CombatMedicRN You must have picked up an iPhone by mistake, WP7 is pretty vulgar

  • Steve Jobs owns a PC!

  • They've earned their success... for the most part

  • @multiblade77 He's probably a child!

  • @multiblade77 Music shouldnt be an industry . Thanks to itunes everybody sells music and music should be free .

  • @multiblade77 i dont have an exact number but millions.

  • @multiblade77 dude who dosent play team fortress? they have one of the largest communities in video games today.

  • @multiblade77 dude go play half life THEN tell me its shit. you havent even played it so what right do you have to say the games i play suck and the games you play dont? cod is a over rated piece of shit. all you do is run and shoot, theirs nothing interesting, theres no mystery, just run shoot, stay alive. thats it.

  • @multiblade77 dude it sucks! COD is the same game every fucking year, im not bad at it. you prove that mac fans are little bitches wholl defend their GOD no matter what it takes. you cant play monkey island or sam and max.

  • @keozeo that's just a stereotype, just because one mac user is being like that (which I doubt they were in the first place), doesn't mean we all are

  • @ClassicRage i mean fanboys not all fans. i just hate people like that. they say everything sucks when they havent even tried it.

  • @multiblade77 dude your a little bitch, your hardware sucks, get over it. i game one my pc, dont like it kiss my ass.

  • @multiblade77 dude COD is for fags, assasins creed is on pc, and halo is on pc too. whats your fucking arguement?! are you saying you only BUY whats popular. you havent even played half life so who are you to fucking talk?!

  • @multiblade77 not illegal. its perfectly legal. any os is legal.

  • HEY shut up, half life 2, quake, doom, portal, etc. are fucking awesome. youve only played puzzle games your entire life so you wouldnt fucking know!

  • @multiblade77 people HAVE done it. ive done it, my freinds done it, it works. look up "booting mac on a pc".

  • @multiblade77 blackberry had gps, a browser, and a touch screen. so just stop being but hurt, admit your a fanboy, then gtfo you noob.

  • and the music industry wasnt revolutionized by apple, ritmoteca was the first online music store then apple copied, and ipods werent the first mp3 players, IXI was.

  • @multiblade77 the company that changed the cellphone industry was blackberry, apple followed suit you retard. learn your shit.

  • @multiblade77 you mean besides people who play team fortress, half life 2, portal, quake, doom, etc? dude go fuck yourself. also a pc can run osx, you put the disk in, you boot from it, you install the software. osx isnt mac exclusive because a mac without osx is just a pc with expensive parts. also what viruses? i havent gotten one virus on my pc! you know why? cause im not a fucking moron like you!

  • @multiblade77 go Q.Q fag. just because i dont wanna spend my time playing fucking PHOTOSHOP dosent mean anything. faggot.

  • @multiblade77 hes a liar. macs suck, if you like the os just buy a pc and buy the os. we bring culture into our pcs, a gaming culture. your culture is starbucks and overly expensive computers that are shit! just buy osX on pc, it works the same way, just faster and with a different shell, thats the only difference.

  • no, Steve Jobs does not always says the truth - but he always makes it sound as such :)

in this case he was right

  • Who in the hell is he to comment on other's taste..haha

  • Fk steve jobs, bald sob, no comparison to the legend Bill Gates

  • Original ideas ... apple just copies good ideas from other companies !

  • oh and may i add that you CAN right click on a mac, but you have to use two fingers, and the bloody magic mouse can easily confuse that for wanting to page forward/ back.

All my mac hate comes from ACTUALLY USING ONE EVERY FUCKING DAY SO SHUT UP YOU MAC FANBOY FUCKTARDS.

    /nerdrage

  • @Panachinator does it really bother you that much? lol i actually like the two finger right click :p

  • @UnderwaterDrumming yeah its a bit of a pain in the ass considering on any other computer you could, you know, right fucking click with one fucking finger. without having to double up on your mouse like a loose tramp and twirl them around to get her to react the way you want.

Yes, i am seriously equating macs to a dolled up hooker. one you get inside it's third rate.

i thought the scroll wheel was a perfectly fine invention. apparently Jobs thought "SIMPLAR & MOAR SHINY FOR MAH SHEEP"

  • @Panachinator hahaha, good point.

  • @Panachinator You may just be a little bit too emotionally involved in the subject matter. You might want to take a walk outside every now and then.

  • @tightlypackedcoil Thanks for your opinion, but where i live walking outside is an invite to heatstroke and dehydration. I sure do miss snow! :P

Don't mistake internet hyperbole for emotional attachment. It only leads to uninformed judgements

  • @muskypucker so beyond being a mac fanboy and having steve job's nuts down your throat.. your point was that i haven't used a mac? did you magically miss the part where i said i AM using one?

There's a lot of gimmicks here that pass as "innovations" to the sheep. like magic mouse (i have it)

And may i remind you that when it breaks, they have to replace 100% of the machine.

The product is designed to fail so you shell out to fix it. I swear this imac will burst into flames any day now.

    IGimmick

  • @muskypucker

And yet, with that in mind I much prefer PC over Mac anyday. Not because of the typical Mac sucks, has low specs, and you can't rightclick arguments, but because this allows ME to be more creative, to more use my computer for what I want. All I need my operating system to do is work, and be compatible with whatever machine I feel like building. And it'll do everything I need it to in the software department, nothing flashy, just simple functionality that's reliable if you know how

  • Apple products look nice but are too expensive, while delivering below average system specs. Why would i ever buy a mac when for the same price i could get a WAY better PC. I'm on my wifes mac, gimmicky pos that it is. sad part is, she only uses it for work, and when she does.. PARALLEL DESKTOP

yes thats right. she is using microsoft word excel ect, on an emulated windows 7. why bother?

BRB gonna fry an egg on this overheated pos. it gets hot as fuck. why no cooling, mac?

  • It may be hollywood but I think that the video is nicely done in that it underscores the difference between gates and jobs and a difference that even gates acknowledges! Think Balmer would have admitted as much?

  • @muskypucker ---then he came back to the company years later and did an interview insulting the guy he chose. Microsoft gave Apple $150 million to get back on their feet after Sculley (that CEO Jobs chose who ran the company into the ground after Jobs left and before he came back) but Jobs doesn't seem to remember that gesture. Microsoft could easily have not done a thing and let Apple sink into the ground.

Gates donates a lot, is not afraid to be awkward or embarrasing and compliments rivals

  • @zenvidar MS made most of their money on Apple products in their early years, there probably wouldn't be a Microsoft if there hadn't been an Apple. I think the money they invested in Apple at its darkest hour was partly a recognition of that fact.

  • @tyrgoossens :D I was just proposing the idea that maybe Microsoft did something Apple would not have done if the tables were turned. But yes, Apple surely helped Microsoft along, as well as Microsoft buying QDos from Tim Patterson for a relatively cheap amount. Of course I originally thought Tim had gotten screwed, but it seems he's worked for microsoft on and off and did quite well. D:

  • @zenvidar

Yeah, I agree with you. Gates seems like a kind, generous, a little quirky kind of guy. He over-all seems very likeable as a person, which is why I can't see why the majority of Linux/mac fags insult him. (The hardcore fanboys that're all rebellious, and have hate for something for no reason. Not the general crowd of users mind you. ^_^)

  • @Blivia Like I said before, I've heard he could be distant in the past with employees, and sometimes not return calls. But besides that, seems very nice.

  • @muskypucker I'm not even gonna compare Microsoft and Apple. Let's just compare Gates and Jobs. If you do that, there's no doubt who is a better person. Steve Jobs never donates to charities. Jobs loves to use the same strategies that many politicians use, trying to bring down the opponent in the eyes of the public and raise himself up. He doesn't ever really seem to give credit to Bill Gates for anything or praise him. He chose a CEO for Apple and left the company---

  • he's crying over the fonts. really? REALLY HIPPY??

  • Bill gates was very sublte on this. Even though he said he was serious (and i believe him), the man's too clever for Steve he got away with "Taste" and "Magical".

  • May I ask for the song?

    Fuck Apple btw.

  • wonder wat computer they used to edit this video :D

  • Steve Jobs, you magnificent bastard !

  • i dont buy computers for taste. i don't want to just pinch zoom smooth scroll all day.

  • I'm a rising star on Youtube and I can give you this advice. You have to believe that you are the best of the best, know nothing else and see yourself as a screaming hot, white ball of success. As well as being extremely successful on youtube, I have my own business as a children's party organiser and entertainer - I offer cheap rates, so get in touch if interested. See me in action on my channel as an entertainer - I'm about confidence poise, dignity, pride and power. Take care. John John xxx

  • I use linux lolz

  • @carlosvaldette -high fives-

  • I like to hear the big guys critize.

  • wow. who the f**k cares about "proportionally spaced fonts" and "culture" in sorftware?? Apparently, when some people get very wealthy they become really self-important, like this annoying twit. Who really cares about "originality" ?? Isnt functionality more important? Shakepeare wasnt particularly original, nor was Mozart.

    Bill Gates kicks a.s.s. imo..

  • you can see the bitterness in every word steve jobs utter

  • mother nature is cruel, theres obs trying his hardest with his hair, quaffering it, adding product, look how delicatly it used flow freely around his neck. now? gone. whereas Gates who never gave a shit... full head o hair. its a cruel, cruel world.

  • Steve Jobs is doing a Howard Stern type "I invented the world" rant in this video

  • I think Steve Jobs was really being honest, a little too honest, but Bill said it himself he thinks in an engineering mathmatical sense on how to do things, but Steve on the other hand thinks in an engineering mathmatical sense as well BUT also in an artistic sense so his products are more dynamic, rich and creative.

  • @jimco10 he thinks, yes. but hes products arent dynamic, creative and rich, well... they are expensive so i guess they are sorta rich.

  • Simply amazing videos

  • Also, I really love the fact that Bill Gates of all people can admit what many fanboys here are incapable of admitting, which is that Jobs has an incredible talent for product design and technological innovation.

Let your egos go, love him or hate him, the guy is a pioneer. Who else out there has reshaped the technological (Apple II/Mac/iPod/iPhone/iPad), film (Pixar is his company too), *and* the music industries? Pretty crazy.

  • They don't think of original ideas? Microsoft IS the ORIGINAL, stop smoking crack Steve.

  • @nosweatjustmyopinion - If original means Microsoft copying what Apple has been doing for over 25 years, sure, they're original at THAT. ;)

I use and love Microsoft products, but I don't delude myself into thinking that they are anything more than followers of what other tech companies do. Windows didn't even reach feature parity with the original MacOS until 1990, six YEARS after it had been out.

  • @KoolAidManOG I wonder that Microsoft hasn't madea terminal blunder putting Ballmer at the helm. I hope not, but the man seems to be of the mind that if you can delude yourself you can delude others. All Microsoft needs is a calm CEO who isn't trying to 'wow' anyone and they can survive. Microsoft could maintain huge if they took their own Linux distribution and turned it into the next Windows, with built in functionality to support their legacy software.

  • M$ has no taste. They charge too much for their monopolistic product that will one day spy on our computer activities.

  • @darthspeaks haha the irony, too bad apple already does that.

  • Apple is all about "inspiration" and "recycling". LOL

  • Bill Gates never dropped acid.

  • I personally think apple don't have original ideas taking UNIX (which is open source) along with other open source software, throwing in an open source GUI (X window system also on linux) and selling it for a disgustingly high price.

and to apple fanatic trolls please do not label me as a "Windows Fanboy" and did you ever notice that the Mac can't have more than one user logged in at once (no switch user), Windows & Linux both have that feature, a feature I need for everyday computing.

  • Jobs is no saint......he stole just like anyone...he sure thinks highly of himself...what a prick.....at least gates is humble....FUCK

  • cant we all just get along? Either one is fine with me everyone has issues and opinions I think we can all agree that both bill and steve have done great things. Lets just leave it at that.

  • I was told Steve Jobs has bipolar disorder and Bill Gates has Asperger's Syndrome. Well, if you're gonna debate about software, maybe you should analyze the software in the creators heads?.......oh excuse me, they didn't create it. Look up the inventors at Xerox. .

  • @SGTBizarro I own a mac and a pc and i use both on an everyday basis and thats my opinion

  • Bill has more taste in clothing than Steve. That one is a cert at least.

  • The world needs egocentric attention whores like Steve Jobs. They're the dreamers, and they'll dream up the craziest thing to satisfy their desire for attention.

  • Microsoft is just such a better company.(Cr)Apple come's with the ''get a Mac'' campaign, and just insults Windows.I ai'nt saying that its wrong, what there saying in the commercial, but there trying to make Microsoft a bad company with a bad OS.I think Microsoft is fair, maybe something not good programmed here and there...but they don't make Mac OS X look really bad.

  • LUV 

  • I like it :x

  • I think Bill Gates constantly shows good taste, albeit a little nerdy, isn't everyone these days? In fact, nerd is the new cool. Hence the giant black frames that are in style. Anyways, I've never heard Bill Gates insult others but Jobs constantly does. What a shame...

  • well...yes, it is harsh. But completely true. If you look at xp...it's just horrible.

  • macs arent the best for customization or changing stuff its all about being simple

with windows you can put it on a computer you built a mac.... well unless its a hackintosh witch is almost impossiable to run and not stable your pretty much 1000 dollars out of pocket if you want it to work

for a pc your 500 dollars out of pocket

sorry we all can't be at starbucks with our shiny mac and bmw in the parking lot

only good thing apple ever made was the ipod

  • i have 2 laptops, a mac book pro and a hp and i have to agree that mac is more tasteful than windows. windows is for people who just want a computer that functions, if you want a computer that goes above and beyond in customization and usability than mac is for you. over all both os are extraordinary

  • @xBounty9 lol i can customize much more on my windows than my mac. everything about windows can be changed if you know how...not so much with the mac

  • @User1234510 Yes, you can definitely customize more on a Windows machine. And every single way you customize it, it still won't work.

  • @bmccarville this is true if you are retarded

  • @User1234510

    Ya, You're right.

i'm sure I'm the only one who ever had a windows machine freeze, crash or catch a virus.

    good call there.

  • @xBounty9 I would have to disagree on the customization aspect. Windows is extremely customizable on almost every level, and Win7 is far from the bland and sometimes awkward XP experience. Mac users who have not touched a PC first-hand in a decade should actually try it out before condemning it (I'm not saying you are).

Mac users (mostly) just want it to work, while Windows is keen on compatibility and customization. Both are ideally suited for different user tastes.

  • Windows: For people that want a system that just works

Mac: For idiots that can't use windows and have lots of money to burn, or can't use Linux but ignore the fact that windows can actually do everything just fine.

Linux: For freetards, linux zealots, people that need to find something to complain about windows, can't afford a mac, don't want their computer to work without jumping into the terminal, enjoy spreading absolute bullshit about ease of use and compatibility.

  • @KoolKluxKlan666 wow, I suppose you couldn't simplify it more.

  • @inphrased Most satisfied Windows users seems to have a pirated version.

Not a problem with Linux, since it is free. Legally free.. You get peoples real opinion then. I like Linux, have never had any problems with it, and never return to Windows. Very fast, non-aggressive on memory, it found every hardware, it is very stable, and I have never had to touch the terminal. Also it is very easy to get help. There is a great community, that can help in short time.

  • @KoolKluxKlan666

    Right.

    Compatibility is not a problem.

    Speed is not a problem.

Memory usage is not a problem.

    Usability is not a problem.

THIS is why Vista was such a huge success, actually the highest user satisfaction rate ever...

    OK................

  • @KoolKluxKlan666 "Windows: For people that want a system that just works"

I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you through the blue screen of death I just got. Could you repeat that? Let me just take a few minutes to... reset up my wi-fi network... that Windows doesn't see anymore, even though I was just on it... Well I hope I can get it back up before Patch Tuesday, the annual event to patch the security flaws in Windows. Luckily my credit card number was stolen by malware and it bought me a firewall.

  • Comment removed

  • @foxsux6000 YOU got Apple to focus on gaming with the iphone? You? Just YOU? You couldn't be more fucking retarded if you tried. My bet is that you are a moron who has nothing better to do than make OBVIOUS lies on youtube. You don't really expect people to believe you, do you?

  • At least Bill Gates isn't a Jew.

  • that guy sounds just like gates lol

  • Don't let some insiders steal someone's idea, make the ideas public on websites and books, let the world benefit not some, socialize the Software Enviroment

  • Steve Jobs always hating on Bill Gates and Bill is always a sport about it. He always has some sh*t comment about Bill that's unwarrented . Bill's dream was to put a personal computer in homes and he succeeded. He changed people's lives. He's changed the world so their ain't sh*t jealous azz Steve Jobs can say to change his accomplishments. Bill Gates would kill himself if he woke up with Steve Jobs money and accomplishments. Point blank, Steve wants to be Bill period.

  • Magical..... like.... THE iPAD?????

  • @MGuniverse Yeah the magical ipad that doesn't even support usb, the most used memory device in the world.

  • its as simple as this to me:

microsoft spends all their time/money trying to catch up and stay with all the latest trends.

recently, apple is the trendsetter. they use their resources to discover a better way for technology to help us. however, apple also has the advantage here because they are really a computer hardware company as well. microsoft isn't.

  • @whalenbrowne microsoft makes mice and keyboards and very good ones at that

  • I agree fully with what Steve said. Microsoft really doesn't have much taste. Apple's products are BEAUTIFUL inside, and out.

  • For the most part... lol

  • No taste? He says with his Chevy Chase haircut. Excellent.

And Steve, they aren't really called 'fonts' people who don't know call them fonts. They are 'typefaces'. Fonts are particular weights or styles of a typeface.

Chicago, Times, Helvetica, are all typefaces. Helvetica Bold and Helvetica Regular are different fonts. Get it? Its always been wrong where the menu bar historically said 'FONT', it should say 'TYPE' or 'TYPEFACE'

  • Eh, what he says in this video is nothing compared to his actions and is just as much of jerk as Bill Gates (just a different kind of jerk).

  • @DMalenfant1 lol apple used to stick it to the man....now its just sticking it to everyone including its customer base. bill gates is a jerk when it comes to avoiding regulation. steve jobs is getting there with how he locks down his iPhone OS

  • @User1234510

I own a Macbook Pro and I love it, but I think Steve Jobs is seriously, the biggest douche on the planet. The dude is so out of touch that he can't even see how his control freak way of doing things is eventually going to cost him with the mobile market. I love how he continues to smugly shrug off Google, despite the fact that it is becoming increasingly obvious that iPhone OS is the one who is now starting to play catchup with Android.

  • @Al112987 Yes i fully agree. I loved Apple products. I know Steve has always been a douche, but ever since the iPhone released and gained market share, hes decided to use that to force people to his whims. I was looking to buy an iPhone but when I learned I had to pay $100/yr just to develop an app and have no guarantee that it would pass Apple's regulation, I just gave up. I have a Nexus One with Froyo and it is so much better than the iPhones I've used. Lots of modified custom OS' for it too

  • @User1234510 Gee, $100 a year. Boy that is a lot of money for a BIG BOY developer like you!! Yeah, have fun with you Android phone, I bet you're really a great developer considering you come to YouTube and whine about paying $100 a year!!!

  • @bibbler227 im an independent dev and work on my app in my spare time. i am enjoying my android phone. you can enjoy blowing steve.

  • Stevie boy got all this money and still he comes to the keynotes wearing pretty much the same fugly shit every year.. That's bad taste.. He IS Evil... And did you know he never donates money... cheap fcuk... He will end up in hell for sure... and not in iTunes as some of his worshipers might think.....

  • you say it is about application, but what about the applications do you like? You mention helvetica, but his inspiration came from calligraphy which was a few centuries before his birth (refer to Stanford commencement address). I don't think Steve ever claims to have invented Helvetica, he just made it accesible before others saw it as something useful.

  • @thtstudios: I agree and disagree about equally. As someones who's first computer (first love) was an Apple II GS, then used Windows for years (up till a year after XP release) and Linux since then, I think I'm as good as anyone to give my opinion on this..

    a) to say that Microsoft doesn't think of original ideas is ridiculous. Both for the reason that Microsoft has innovated plenty of ideas AND for the fact that NOT implementing a feature the competitor has would be ludicrous.

  • @thtstudios: A) continued: To say that Windows would never have fonts is a down-right STUPID thing to say. Maybe not right away but it would have had it, no quesiton. EVEN IF they had absolutely no taste, customers would have required them to implement it.

On top of that, BOTH MS and Apple 'stole' their basic ideas from Xerox. What set them apart is refining it and doing it a commercial level that would be applicable for more accessible computers.
