  • Mmm too bad you have lag mate.. updated your GPU's already?

  • nice slideshow

  • I'm on 17'' CRT(!!!) monitor with 1920x1440 res. Now MSAA needed :D wanna find one more

  • yeah SoftTH rocks i use it to !

  • cool FPS bro. was that massive amount of money really worth 20fps?

  • Id rather just get a bigass LCD tv, cause the borders would annoy me.

  • 3 screens look nice but I will get iritated by borders

  • im going to run 3 19in monitors on 2 6850s how well do those cards work on a 3 monitor setup because im still debating doing it or just staying on 1 monitor

  • @magnesium111 Use ATI's software manager, and group the displays

  • At 0:21 I swear I can hear "Excellent Butthole"

  • 3 Monitors... Nice

    But Shitiest Graphics Ever Seen!

    Buy a New Video Card!

  • 2 monitors are fine, as I would be happy with 2 --- 28" monitors, just makes you play further away, since the screen is spread out, but in the end, it looks the same.

1 monitor is fine for gaming, you focus on one area more closely and easier to navigate with the mouse, but I guess some people like the aspect of it.

  • 3 Pixels lol

  • That is very dumb. Your system is horrible for crysis at any resolution. You have one of the biggest resolutions possible, so it will play like shit. And you have it on all low. What's the point of that? Dumb all around.

  • @albokid2468 Calm down dude, I uploaded this video almost three years ago. I now have Crossfire 6850s running eyefinity with Crysis on all high graphic settings running across the same resolution getting 30fps.

  • @smartray05 I WONT FUCKING CALM DOWN.

J/K. I didn't see the date, I see now how that was a big deal. Nvm, nice system.

  • @smartray05 I get 60+ FPS in the BF3 beta at 7680x1600 on my SR-2 board with four GTX580 3072MB classifieds.

    Noob.

  • @albokid2468

what is the point of being bitter and annoying ? you tell me.

  • @albokid2468 haha what a hater... This is awesome I have no idea why you think this is dumb. (1) Multi-tasking. (2) That much more bad ass (3) No one cares if you have a small penor..

  • @albokid2468 douche alert

  • and this 240p makes perfectly sense....

  • looks like you got gamma too high

  • lol it lags like shit

  • U CHAT WHIIT 3 GIRLFRIENDS IN SAME TIME I THINK

  • this is AMAZING

  • just buy a 5870 for eyefinity 3 monitor display :)

  • ERM Can i use 1 22 Inch widescreen monitor and then 1 32 Inch monitor in middle and then a 17 Inch monitor ? And eyefinity them ? Maby scaled so they are matching each others:p???

  • and it lAAAAGGGSSSS

  • What is a graphical card? Solo or multi GPU??

  • @Kajus1707 its most likely one of the ATI HD's, like the 5870 perhaps, which has directX 11 and eyefinity, brand spankin new API's, which helps support multiple monitors.

  • Dude!! Look at the stutter! it looks like you are running its on 5fps!! Also the detail is turned down so low you can actually NOTICE it in a youtube video. I couldn't play like that it looks plain awful! You need a better rig by the looks of it. Running this on an O/C i7 930 (4.0Ghz) with tri-crossfire 5770's and 12GB 1600 Dominator RAM and a solid state drive there is no delay between monitors AT ALL! You seriously need to at least upgrade your CPU to do what you're trying to do.

  • NICE LAG DUDE!!! 5 STARS

  • It looks like the monitors on the sides are getting terrible lag. :-/ Are they old or is it maybe just the screens not having the same vertical sync frequency?

  • Bad framerate -__-

  • @steeventide

Hah, i'd like to see your rig run 5120x1200. his is actually playable at that resolution.

  • ok i have THREE MONITORS hooked up on my system.

Whats the software are you using to hook it past 1920 x 1080?

  • @DEVOXxCANADAxX SoftTH

  • Thanks smartay05

  • @DEVOXxCANADAxX he only needs to have a ati /amd graphic card

  • This is quite disappointing.

  • add 3 monitors again, and you can see in 360°^^

  • @Dummweltschutz how can you see 360? and for crysis

  • this is actually more akin to what a human sees

  • damn

  • does it have a delay between monitors?

  • @projeto56 There is a slight delay between video cards (third monitor). But the two monitors connected to the same video card shows no delay.

  • how do you minimize the black bars between the monitors?

  • Buy a 320 monitor

  • 0:40 car sex haha :)

  • CMFDO = Cumming my fucking dick off lol..some shtit my bud and I made up lool its like lmfao but cmfdo...cmfdo lool

  • Comment removed

  • Balls...

  • how come the middle monitor is bigger than the others... or is it the camera

  • Because the other stand in the litte different angle

  • @SnipinG1337 description.

    read it

  • mid monitor has 1920x1200 resolution, while the other two has 1600x1200. Check the sidebar.

  • "20" + 24" + 20"

  • read the sidebar.

24" inch screen in the middle and 20" on either side.

  • in the middle was a 24" monitor, and left and right a 20" monitor

  • this is sweet. I'm surprised that machine can run this so well. It would be cooler if the monitors synced up a little better. Maybe that's just the camera.

  • how much did all your monitors cost?

  • so, you didn't have a matrox so you ran it in windowed mode to use all three screens?

  • No, I used a software called SoftTH (probably short for Software Triple Head)

  • cool, thanks

  • I have a rig setup that can run it about 30fps @ 1680x1050 rez on high and it was only 600 (Custom built) Course that was awihle ago so it's probably cheaper now.

  • A little chunky, but good for what hes playign it on. Soncidering it's a rig from two years ago.

  • This isn't on max, I can tell by the sky.

  • OMG its lagging alot ! ..

I dont see the point in 3 monitor gaming when its lagging.. :O

But really nice setup .. I have 2 monitors right now .. I just gotta have 3 ;) .. Hope it works on GTX280 SLI :s

  • no, this don't give you any more view than anybody else. the camera frustum angle is the same (well maxed out), so as you can see the edges are terribly stretched and mangled.

  • frame rate looks shocking

  • He's using three different GPU's so he doesn't have to turn down the settings, idiot.

  • shooting games look better in potrait rather than landscape. Landscape tends to stretch the views. Only problem with multimonitor in crysis is unless your running a top end GPU you have to turn down the settings taking away all its splendor. Even using a single HD5870 you can't run full eyecandy with 3 monitors in alot of games.

  • u shouldve just blown up the car in the begining

  • It looks good but after a while it would piss me off.

  • My rig is under $1200.

Just got my video update done.

Check out my profile channel to see the insides of my rig.

  • I will post a vid today of my crysis on Triple 19" monitors. I have maxed all settings using the same SoftTh software. You have to run dx9 for the software to span all the screens but I have tweaked my configure files so I have all dx10 effects. I have some in game footage already of other games in my profile.

  • could i expand sideways like you have with one 42 inch flatscreen? getting that extra view, who knows if id run the same framerate.

  • Korean grabbing in 3 screens!

  • video quality aint so good but monitor setup is pretty damn good... the only issue i have is that your running it on what looks like low/ medium settings... but hey we cant al have our cake and eat it.. i can run crysis at high on my 20" at like 30 fps max and in some big firefights it drops to 5..... i think i need to raid my savings for a couple of gtx 295's and an i7 quad... that or ask santa... lol

  • is it possible to run a game, say crysis, at similar resolutions on a single display? namely a 1080p home theater projector and on a cinemascope screen? equivelant ratio: 1920X817????

  • You knwo what 1080p stands for ? 1920x1080. So you can run crysis (and any other modern game) on a TV in FullHD, just make sure your TV supports your PCs input. I for one played CoD WaW on my 37'' Samsung LCD yesterday in 1920x1080. Worked fine and looked stunning.

  • yeah but im talking about running in 1920x817(cinemascope) on 1 giant screen.

i have a 144" cinemascope screen and projector.

  • hmm, I've never tried, but if it really is one large display, Crysis should be able to detect the resolution and allow you to play it like that. Otherwise, you may need a manually adjust the config files and potentially need a Field of View (FOV) hack.

  • thanks...

well, the projector is 1080p(1920X1200) as cinemascope projectors dont exist yet, the cinemascope screen is for watching movies that are 2.35:1 (most movies) i just thought it would be awesome to run a game in the same ultra wide aspect ratio as the movies. i can see by this video that its possible on 3 monitors, i actually only need 2/3d's the width shown on this video, so it should be possible . but i, myself dont know how or what id have to do in crysis to achieve it

  • checked your later post and I guess you got this all for pretty low price? 1500$+the won thing

  • it looks gay bettet us a big one

  • Huge framerate issues

  • framerate?

  • how cost all yours pc component and the pc

  • I bought this system 1 1/2 years ago, so the prices may seem high, but they were really good at the time. Imma big bargain hunter... haha... Samsung 20" monitor - $275ea Samsung 24" monitor - $330 Klipsh 200W Speakers - $100 C2D E6850 - $200 Abit IN9 32X-MAX w/ nforce 680i - $100 8GB PC6400 DDR2 - $30 MSI 8800GT OC - $230 ECS 8800GT OC - $130 2x Samsung F1 1TB HDD RAID0- $110ea Cooler Master Mystique Case - $0 Thermaltake Big Water 735 - $50 CM 80+ Gold 700W PSU - won it from nvision 2008
  • lag between the monitors. . . are you using th2go?

  • i dont like that panorama look. is that because of the camera and how you have your monitors angled in this video?

what was the beeping at 1:37 ?

  • beeping? somebody's wheels just got jacked lol xD nah jk idk what it is

  • if you dont get in the car within a certain amount of time, it self destructs. The beeping is the countdown. Its real inconvenient lol

  • ah nice which map is that

  • so SoftTH doesnt require you to buy a multi monitor hookup?

  • No, you just need enough video cards to drive three monitors. Usually two video cards each with dual outputs.

  • would it matter if they were in sli? 2 of the same ones? and is there any downside to using this ty for the reply btw

  • It does not have to be in SLI/CF or even the same video cards. All the processing with be done on your primary video card, so the secondary video card does not have to be powerful. The downside is that you cannot harness the power of SLI/CF if you do have it. And it can be pretty picky with games and takes a bit of tinkering to get to work per game.

  • kk ty

  • would it work if i added my old 8800GT to my current 4870x2?

  • Well, I'm not sure. I have heard that it is possible to install two different display drivers (nvidia & ati). As long as you can get three monitors running, it should work. BTW, crossfire/SLI serves no benefit to SoftTH, so all three monitors will be rendered by one 4870.

  • there's a delay between the three monitors.

  • yeah, the third one is a bit slower

  • it looks nice :P

  • u look rilly laggy

  • your fps???

  • laggggggggg

  • not cool

  • nice but the grafikdiffrences between the monitors

the sky and inside the car

  • Comment removed

  • Lag fest :(((

  • lol.very cool.you play multyplayer with this?

  • Probably not

  • lol get 20 monitors to cover space around you!

  • WOAH!

  • Looks crap imo. Not smooth at all. o.O

  • 5120x1200 res what did you expect

  • i was wonderen, im biulding a massive 3 screen comp with triple sli with GTX285 and the whole deal and i was wonderen if softth would run me any game i want on max settings or is the abilities of the software limited?

  • i am aware of the troubles on the sli in gaming on 3 screens...

  • SoftTH does not support SLI and will not gain any benefit from SLI. You would only be able to render using one video card in SoftTH. Your best bet is to get the triplehead2go, that is also limited in resolution (3x1680x1080).

  • triplehead2go

    3x1680x1080 for XP

    For Vista only 4320x900!

  • i wass runing sandbox and FC2 editor on 4 monitors at 6800x1024 somethink but youtube delete my video idk why (meyby music)

  • u need 3 gtx 280 or 285

  • and triplehead2go will doubled your frameretes

  • the GTX 280 sucks now compared to the capability of the GTX 275 PWM, its very cost/effective too. =D

  • Nice!!! I'm actually coming to hate nVidia for its rebranding issues. They've rebranded a GPU for 3 series!!! The G92?

    8800GT -> 9800GT -> (not for sure yet!) GTS240

    8800GTS -> 9800GTX -> GTS250...

    8800GS -> 9600GSO.

I hope nVidia smartens up a bit, and actually makes a breakthrough like the 6600GT back in the days.

  • Ok

    8800GTS -> 9800GTX -> GTS250

    but i thought its 8800gtx to 9800gtx

  • The 8800GTX is based on the G80 core. The 8800GTS 512MB is based on the G92 core, along with 9800GTX and GTS250. The 9800GTX is just an overclocked 8800GTS 512MB.

  • THE HIGHEST OF QUALITIES.

  • omg so 1337

  • I would think the black line between the monitors would kinda be annoying, but nice setup. If you upgrade your cards you could probably get better frames.

Go for quad sli GTX 295 :O!

  • some gtx 280s beat gtx 285s especialy 280s in tri sli, you probably save abit of money too

  • Actually, I read its more expensive. 430$x2= 860 GTX 295

GTX 280 300$x3= 900. Idk, you're already spending so much money lol.

  • you cant have milti moniter with sli. nvidia disables it in the drivers

  • I have three PCI Express Slots on my motherboard, so I can accomodate three video cards. And I'm only SLIing the 8800GT, which can be SLIed since they are the same core, and doesn't necessarily have to be the same brand. SLI was disabled in this video though since the software to run triple monitor games does not support it.

The Author of this video is running SLI lol.

  • there is programs to fix that

  • Your CPU still has much potential for possibly a bit more overclocks. ATi's 4 Series, possibly more efficient than nVidia (in p/p ratios). You can go and get a GTX295, which I guess, dominates the dual GPU area where the x70x2 used to dominate, or a GTX285 where the GTX280 used to dominate for the single GPU area.

I'd possibly say that the 4850s are still good. =DDD

    WDR10s FTW!!!!

If you aren't SLIing, can't you use one 8800GT for PhysX, as its not doing anything anyways?

  • Yea, I actually do overclock to 3.4Ghz for 24/7 operations since I got a liquid cooling system. haha... 4850 would be a downgrade from 8800GT SLI (aka '9800GT' [aka 'GTS240']) which is on par with a GTX280.

And yea, I can use it for PhysX, but it only benefits games with PhysX support (not Crysis). Also the software I use, SoftTH, has extremely limited support.

For other purposes, I can enable PhysX and SLI at the same time, or I can stick in a third video card for PhysX processing...

  • Not really the best choice of CPU... I see that this build isn't too old; 3 way SLI, or 3 PCIe slots (at least), means you have at least a 680i or a 780(90)i motherboard, being SLI compatiable. Quad cores came out by then, and is a really good choice for such multi core oriented game like Crysis. Nevertheless, if now, the E8 Series or basically any Wolfdale CPU would suffice (GODLY OVERCLOCKS!).

Not a really SPECs person, nor do I like talking too much about this; Redemptio09 is...

  • haha... I got my E6850 for really cheap on a black friday deal quite a while back before the 45nm CPUs. Price-wise, it was a choice between the Q6600 and E6850, and for gaming, definitely the E6850. Games won't truly utilize quad cores really well until Direct X 11. For now, it's mostly about frequency (GHz).

  • those black lines would annoy me

  • MSI Geforce 8800GT 660Mhz OC

    ECS Geforce 8800GT 650Mhz OC

    BFG Geforce 8500GT Tertiary Card

you cant have different cards in your pc -.-

  • I have three PCI Express Slots on my motherboard, so I can accomodate three video cards. And I'm only SLIing the 8800GT, which can be SLIed since they are the same core, and doesn't necessarily have to be the same brand. SLI was disabled in this video though since the software to run triple monitor games does not support it.

  • It's a pity your FPS skills do not match your prowess at buying and setting up expensive hardware.

  • I'd like to see your FPS skills at 15-20fps...

  • Yeah, if this guy is your mark, I think you'd be impressed.

  • huh?

  • Waaaaaiitt - a separate GPU for each screen?

  • Your running XP mate not vista so it would be direct X 9 not 10 so thats shit.

  • This is actually Vista, therefore Direct X 10.

  • "So that's shit"

    Wha?

  • Shir man this is awsome!!!!

  • How many graphic cards are you running..? I have 3 19" monitors and want it set up the same way where the middle screen is the main. can you tell me please or make a video explaining how to hook up 3 monitors. no else has a tutorial video on how to do triple monitors and make the center one the main.

    thanks

  • You only need two video cards each with dual outputs to run up to four monitors. Just connect your monitors to the video cards and it should work.

  • I orderd 2 9800gt superclocked with dual outputs hopefully they will power them. any way thanks for the reply

  • fuck fuck fuck why does crysis so fucking lagg....???!!!! my system: Q9550 3.4ghz

    4gb ram

    ati radeon 4870 x2

    nitrox 750w

    windows vista ultimate 64bit

  • Should run pretty well - what settings are you using?

Get the latest drivers. What settigns are you trying to run it at?

  • that is it xD @lowest level i had so fucking much fps... but the plants and the sky laggs.. @highest settings i had not soo much fps and the *laggs* were still there... when i go to a hill wit vegetation.. then some plants lags and are only showed at a lower distanz.. in the sky are windows wit loading % and more stuff...-.- and the driver.. for the 4870x2 doesnt gives much drivers @ the moment...

  • I see. There have been mentions of certain "stuttering" with some 4*** series GPUs from ATI.

What you say is "lag" might just be that. However I've played Crysis recently and when you look at the water (in the sea/ocean) randomly you can see that it's updating at about 3 times a second and shortly afterwards becomes smooth. Optimization probably.

  • what settings did u change if any?? witch files did u copy and to where?? thanks m8 appreciate it

only just picked up my 3x22" samsungs yesterday

  • matrox tripplehead2go analog or digital ?

  • I'm not using the matrox, I'm using a free software solution called SoftTH.

  • kick ass setup, but i want to know how much the electricity bill will come up ??

  • stunning visual effects

quite the graphics card you must have ( haha etc )

  • alter........... wie das ruckelt. aber hauptsache, ich hab 3 tft´s da stehen.

  • HAHAHAHA please do a favor to your computer and change those graphics cards, please...

  • You're one hell of a dumbass. Look at when the video was made

  • Just get 3 gtx 280s or 3 4870 and it will run the game on high

  • your is alot of stupid

  • lol yup

  • I'm happy with one 17 inch screen from Aldi

  • i can hear your computer crying

  • lol owned. anyways, I think the 8500gt is running the very left monitor cause I see "lateness" on that monitor

  • it doesn't work that way, 8500 GT can't run a monitor it does background stuff, can't do SLI with the 8800s

  • You need a better gpu ;)
