  • I can't respond right now. Here's what is going on

  • @OnChea the record labels then used their music for future ventures and now the artists can put their music on youtube and write their thoughts on what they feel about their ending careers...fun lovin stoogies...ok that's two..continue

  • Punk, Metal, Garage, Grunge, Alternative, who cares!? All i know is they did something fresh/different when they first came onto the music scene from 1969 to the mid-70s and like many people, who happen to be fans of the stooges (young or older), loved every album that they ever came out with. Not only that, they have inspired MANY ppl in pursuing a career in music. Some of those musicians have went on to create great music as well. Overall, i highly appreciate the stooges contribution to music.

  • to end all this fuss about what is punk and what punk should be it goes like this punk is no more than a an expression of youth and rebellion it was the kind of music kids could cry out their frustrations to about life in general without being fashionable or superficial about it its not a label or a hot topic thing its another state of mind

  • real cool time!!!

  • generic comment about the dislike bar.

  • Fuck to The Stooges, that's an order

  • SHUT UP MOTHER FUCKERS , THE STOOGES ARENT PUNKS!!!!!!!!!

  • @bowiemars yes they are

  • @bowiemars Anybody who calls themselves a punk is a sad sack of shit

  • I always thought this was a nicely direct approach toward things - in fact its the way I was told my great grands went about it in the pioneer days.

A good time tonight - yea or nay? Pretty simple.

  • Iggys phrasing on this one cinches his spot as God-father of punk

  • Real Cool Song.

  • slaytanicmegaforce should be youtube's jukebox guy for real and raw rock n roll

  • great to get stoned to

  • you know romeo was totally gonna say this to juliet but she wanted to hear all that shit about her beauty and stuff

  • @dmdiamond220 yes

  • In my opinion, I have always LOVED this album and "Fun House". I always thought "Raw Power" was just not the same sound.

  • Faaakkke!!!

  • Now my heartbeat sounds like this wah-wah shit 4ever

  • Talk about YEARSSSSS before its time. Iggy is the man, he is in my top 20 musical artists of all time, either it be solo or with the stooges! Long live Iggy!!!

  • @indoorsun Enough, haha! Thanks man. As long as you like it :D

  • fuck yeah what the hell i'm doing with my left hymn

  • fuck yeah

  • Inspiration

  • Just love the raw attitude and snarling guitar of this. So untutored and so essential.

  • @smithdsmit I agree pop music these days is awful but this song is pretty low quality and boring too. I don't know much about this band but from what I've heard the guitar player sounds like he's been playing for like a week and I'm sure this band got popular through being fashionable. ThAts pretty much all punk is about is fashion and attitude. Certainly not musicianship.

  • @Datnigro Certainly not musicianship. Performance.

  • @Datnigro That's bullshit. The gritty sound is deliberate, you know that, right? And I liked the change in the guitar tempo between :17 and :26. It took a fair amount of imagination and skill to execute. It may be that this style of playing doesn't take a musical genius to play, but so what, if some people really enjoy the style? This stuff evokes an emotional response for me, as it does for a lot of people, in case you didn't know. So no, it's not all about fashion and attitude.

  • @Datnigro your wrong about the bit where punk is all about fashion and attitude it really isn't to me it serves as an alternative for us who seek personal and social independence apart from the clones that make up this poserish scene and gives us the right to make music that sounds good without all the technical dinosaur band bullshit

  • 40 years old +, and The Stooges music can still kick Justin Beiber's faggot ass. Shows how fucking pathetic our teenage generation is with all these ugly, fake looking bitches and faggot assholes without any REAL talent. Bring the good music back....when times were actually fun and we all had "Real Cool Times".

    \m/

  • Real Cool Song

  • Eat a dick!

  • HELP! I need the name of the dude / band that covered this, appeared on an EP from the last decade, blue vinyl... anybody help me??? this version rocks, but that version was sick!!

  • That, kids, is what we call WAH.

  • I really find Iggy has that Jim Morrison vibe, its legit

  • i say we will hve a real cool time tonight

  • The Stooges = raw freedom

  • holy shit!!! the rhythim guitar sounds like it could've been done by tom morello >:)

  • You're the one who went out of your way to imply your opinion that I come off as a naive high schoolers, simply b/c I used the word pot in my comment, which is something that bothers you clearly.

And when I go off, and act like a dick, do not assume I am in real life. B/c I'm not the one who goes off pretending to know someones personality online, solely on the basis of a YouTube comment that I personally don't like.

That's something you can figure out. Not me.

  • @dirtynuke Alright, I am not going to argue with someone who appears to have some things in common with me, judging on your profile info. I am only going to wish you the best of luck in life. Just be sure not to talk to people you don't know in the same manner in reality similar to the way you do on the web.

  • This is a kick in the balls.

  • @dirtynuke Looks like I struck a nerve there; I do respect your opinion. I understand that there are some out there who have to use foul language on the internet to appear more aggressive or hardcore than they really are. I respect that about you too. Where did you get the notion that I was trying to make you appear stupid?

  • @artstar19 Foul language to appear more aggressive then they really are?

Fuck. Bitch. Cunt. Shit. Dick. Ass. Prick.

I seem to be a naive high school freshman.

    Kiss my ass my friend.

  • can someone please explain how exactly that kind wavy noise is created that really kicks in about 0:08 ?

  • @edn172 wah wah pedal if i'm not mistaken

  • This is one of the sexiest albums of all times. I bet The Stooges got laid 24/7.

  • the opening of this song is so, so....... so EPIC!!

  • what ever genre you stick it in it still is and will always will be great straight up rock n roll that kicks ass and leaves no mercy, love the cheap sounding dirty guitar tones

  • @Duraan84 Raw Power was an excellent step up from this album.

  • smoke some weed, put on some headphones, and blast this shit....my definition of a Real Cool Time.

  • @TrueStonerArmy i hate the fact that weed became so popular and cool all of a sudden cause 10 years ago when people smoked weed, they got beat up in school. (and i ALWAYS wear headphones, music and CD stores are the greatest places you can hang out in and for FREE, awsome afternoon)

  • The first 2 Stooges lps are considered on some music list as among the top 100 rocks albums ever.

  • without this album and VU, punk rock couldn't be. it's not metal, that started with led zep's first album. it's the branch of hard rock that turned into punk.

  • the most snarly, mutated twisted, apocalyptic, h.p. lovecraft primal chaos song in rock 'n roll. and it's about having a nice time with your girlfriend. what do you think that i want to do, THAT'S RIGHT! ...in this one song, asheton approaches hendrixian levels, but in a different way. one of my favorite songs.

  • the stooges are much better than zeppelin, sabbath, and purple and ron asheton is better than hendrix, justice for stooges

  • therockero17. don't be stupid man, ramones and half of the "punk" bands wouldn't have even been born if it weren't for the stooges and others like them that weren't considered in the early years. they shouldn't have been labeled punk because thats too simple a title. they're way more complex and advanced musically for a humble title like that.

  • @punkkilledhippie agree dude the stooges is rock and roll of the future

  • Rock has steady gone downhill since the Stooges.

  • the ramones version is way better

  • @TheRockero17 that's horseshit.

  • @TheRockero17 i love ramones , but they are nothing next to the feel sotooges

dee dee my inspiration from the bass, johnny, joey but it's true

  • dirtynuke really said what we all think and feel when we hear this band. rad

  • Ahh.. so I see where J Macis' head was at when writing dino jr. songs.

  • total fucking butt kicking. man just aghrhhhhhhhh

  • @TheFurtur fuck mick jagger looks like a mother fuckin skeleton

  • Led Zeppelin, Stooges , some hx , and a girl to make the joints so theres no hard work for me. dirtynuke you just say the word...

  • Comment removed

  • @dirtynuke man this guys and Zepp just have the gift to turn people naughty and to think bout weeed and seeeex all the time " a real cool time"...

  • @manolohaxe the stooges whooped ass. true ass whoopers. god just a real good licking hahahah SEX!

  • groovy

  • This is RAW!!!!!!!!!!

  • is it just me or does Iggy sound like Mick Jagger?

  • yea

  • Rock has NOT improved since this record.

  • @Duraan84 I disagree.

  • @TheRealHahailost Explain...

  • @Duraan84 See: 70s - 80s

  • @TheRealHahailost IMO, everytime rock seemed new and improved, it really was people going back to the basics.

  • @Duraan84 Sound quality has improved since this record.

  • @TheRealHahailost I'm talking about music. Sound quality doesn't mean much to me.

  • @Duraan84 Believe it or not, sound quality has a lot to do with music.

  • @TheRealHahailost good sound quality ..cheats today.

There is so much shit with good sound quality but they are not songs

    quality

  • @bowiemars See: 70s and 80s

  • @TheRealHahailost is so difficult to understand .. sex pistols sound like posers, teens

the stooges are ... is so difficult to understand? ..

the stooges sound ,...creative original pristine singular ....

  • @bowiemars Compare this to Photograph by Def Leppard or something. Which one sounds less like screeching?

  • @TheRealHahailost That's your opinion, I just don't agree.

  • @Duraan84 Wasn't this entire debate over opinions?

  • @TheRealHahailost Yep. And neither one of us will (or should) submit to the others opinion. I think we can both agree that The Stooges are awesome, and leave there.

  • @Duraan84 ZEPPELIN!!!!!!......since then rock has not improved those gods put rock standards way to high

  • @Bjon93 agree the beatles, led zeppelin and pink floyd......set the bar so so high!!!!

  • @Bjon93 quality of music is no longer a priority to the entertainment industry.its all about looks and fasion now.thats why we have dumb shows like american idol.as far as im concerned none of the contestants have been good yet some have went on to be pretty famous at least for a month or two

  • @Duraan84 I am pretty enthusiastic about this record as well, but I don't think I would go that far. umm...Master Of Reality?

  • @Duraan84 retarded comment

  • @Dozerr1 indeed it is

  • what we're talking here is raw garage rock that is fucking timeless.

  • dirtynuke your comment is so awesome:D

  • @moLeOnPoT aww thanks. thanks a lot hahah i tried to describe my opinion as accuratley as possible lol.

  • Cool, this song is so raw and furious, like this one.

  • beer. high school. sex during high school prom. waking up cold wet and damp in the football field. chewing gum. drinking milkshakes. burgers. led zeppelin. acid. pretty girls with nice soft skin. virgins. boys with nice cars, and long hair. weed. goddd.. feeling dirty man the stooges.

  • @dirtynuke you forgot pot!

  • @MonsieurChristopher No he didn't, it's on the bottom.

  • @MonsieurChristopher What do you think 'weed' is?

  • @dirtynuke or if you're british, 'secondary school'.

only tried acid recently. felt obiged to listen to the doors 'the end'.

but you're correct. rock hasn't been too great for ages. although i've a soft spot for 90s alt rock, really you want to experience different music if you want something awesome from more recent times. I'm a huge follower of jungle from the 90s and dubstep from the 00s, both london-born and bred sounds.

  • @dirtynuke i love this comment! any chick who likes the stooges, long haired guys, zeppelin, and weed are fucking amazing

  • @dirtynuke my high school years are horseshit compared to yours

  • @dirtynuke

All the things you mentioned with the exception of this group are things that the typical American unoriginal naive "jock" embraces as a "cool" lifestyle.

    Not cool.

Nothing wrong with smoking weed, but talking about it ALL the time when a song comes on is somewhat high schoolish. Welcome to the real world.

  • Wonderful comment.

  • @dirtynuke Its all about passion man , i miss freedom , freedom to be whatever you want , but in this society you have to be what they want and play by their rules , and Stooges were a slap in the face for many people and that is the kind of passion that bands don´t have this days , cuz they have nothing to complain about , the moment they hit big stages they are sucked into fame , and then its all about that, nice ideals but in the end all the same.

    I miss good old days.

    Let the children play.

  • @dirtynuke I didn't get to do any of this shit.

  • @dirtynuke i clearly was born in the wrong decade. gotta rev up my delorean

  • @bigpimpdaddy69 i shoulda done that a loooonnng time ago!

  • @bigpimpdaddy69 right fella (john delorean) wrong car, this is GTO era baby. smoke em if ya got em.

  • @Tarten46 lol. i know. marty mcfly and doc brown used a delorean to travel through time

  • @dirtynuke You depicted a bygone age that will never happen again.Timeless.

  • @dirtynuke Your post is the exact reason I decided not to goto college early. Fuck it. High School! Rah Rah rah! HIgh school! Rah rah rah!

  • @RayManzarekGod yeah man! woohoo!

  • @dirtynuke Hahaha had to quote some MC5 lyrics in there too.

  • la zorrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!

  • great great song!

  • steppenwolf first used the word heavy metal im not sure what they called it probbaly rock in roll devils music hippie music stuff like that

  • who give a fuck wat they called it this kick ur ass upside its head thats all that fuckin matterss

  • well element its fairly heavy if you compare it to some of the other music from the decade

  • @elementz1986

I'm not sure why you are giving me thumbs down. I obviously know it's NOT metal but in the 1960's what other word would people have used to describe them who need classifications since punk wasn't exactly a genre yet? Hard Acid rock? not really

  • was heavy metal a genre yet then?

  • Sabbath were on the case.

  • Nothing compares with Stooges...this is just what rock should be: raw, dirty, bad, furious, sick, hallucinated.

  • @Skafranz The MC5 comes close

  • holy-shit dig that guitar!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • this must be the most orgnial band ever i cant compare them to no one its so RAW

  • If I had to make a comparison, it would be the The Ramones' first album "Ramones". It's really raw as well, and Johnny Ramone was even described as, "a tie wearing Stooges fan" if I'm not mistaken. The early Ramones would be the closest thing.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! have nothing more to say!!!!! wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllldddddddd!!!!!!!

  • Truly raw sound, it definitely separates them from the rest of the bands in the 60's, 70's

  • got too love it!

  • pure dirty stuff.mega guitar leaning to infinity.love it.
