This is the sound of the traditional Gaelic harp. What harps in Eire sounded like a 1000 years ago. Paul is incredably fast and acurate. I must meet the man on my next trip over.
Wow, this made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I'd never heard of Paul Dooley until I saw him on the BBC4 tv programme 'The Harp', how lovely.

@clarebannerman I can't believe it took me 4 months to get this.. oh well, I buy a lot of CDs! This video has a lot of watches on my ipod.
Can't wait for his CDs to arrive!

@clarebannerman
I got his CD when he was playing on top of the Cliffs of Moher in July 2005.
He might be there again someday, and he sells his CD's out of a backpack.
I also left one in my car rental in dublin. It was a ford I think.
Hope this helps, Joe

No wonder so many of my favourite musicians cover his work.

The second tune is Miss Monaghan.
The first one is from O'Carolan. It's a piece of work...

What's the name of the first piece? It sounds like an O'Carolan piece.
