Winding a Banshee up into the powerband and dropping the clutch on takeoff is a well balenced opperation. If you lean to far back and get traction its gonna stand or flip.If you lean to far over the bars your going to spin alot especially on a loose track. If you position your body weight just right you can hit the powerband and drop the clutch but it takes practice.
@dathrillwill I had a differant set of sprockets. I/m not sure if not sure if you can launch in second with factory size spockets. This is how I do it I stage in first when Ibreak the stage beam I stop shift to second use the foot brake hold the clutch wind it until its just below the powerband. When the tree light goes green I release the brake,lean forward and dump the cluch, as soon as I start moving I go to full throttle.

prolly cuz your friend dosnt know how to launch.... its not hard to launch a full throttle on a banshee if you know how to handle your quad. and yes it will beat it

the raptor and banshee come pretty close and to all these people arguing the difference between the 700 and the 660, the fuel injection and extra 26cc doesn't make much difference i own the 700 and my neighbor has the 660. the 660 has more bottom end and the 700 has more mid range but they stay right next to each other in a drag.

whats the point of racing a banshee against a car obviously the banshee is going to destroy it up until the banshee hits 6th gear wide open. than the car might pass it. No one cares about top end speed anyways you cant go 100mph on the road or through tight dirt trails anyways. Acceleration is all that counts.
