  • Looks good, man. The extra points on the edges make it look similar to a Phil Demmel V. Good job

  • Dude you should sell this design to Dean.

  • Basically a Bernie Rico Jr replica with some modifications.

  • guitar is great but song sucks

  • Thats sweet, good job!

  • it looks like a power ranger guitar

  • @croll009 hahahahahhaahah

  • How much did it all cost?

  • that is amazing, i am not hating here, but it isn't a flying V it is more like an ESP V or a Jackson King V, but that is just a title error, this is amazing that you woul be able to do must be awesome to play.

  • looks like a KISS guitar. great!!!

  • EPIC SOUNDTRACK

  • Dude, that guitar deserves an EMG pickup

  • when i did mine i was lazy and just bolted the neck on, congrats on putting in the extra effort, it looks great

  • one word...sick

  • looks kinda like a jackson rhoads. Cool, man.

  • A plywood guitar wow. I dont know where to begin. sure it may look good but its not gonna sound as good as if you used veneer or one solid piece. The reason for this is because sound travels through the grain of the wood evenly when the grain is going one way. Ply wood on the other hand has grain going multiple ways making it have a rippled or an incomplete sound. One more comparison is how long your sound will last. it looks cool but it would be cooler if it was a solid piece.

  • @vulcanchama Its an electric guitar dumbass. The pickups make the sound.

  • @zachkelsoe Actually What makes the sound is the Type of bridge EX: Teflon, Brass, Or Steel

the nut EX: Bone, Teflon, or Plastic,

The wood EX: Mahogany, Maple, Ash

The Pickups EX Active, Passive, Singlecoil, P90, Humbuck

And even the headstock EX angled = more sustain; Bigger also = more sustain.

Even the Fretboard wood, Pao Ferra, Ebony, Rosewood, Maple

Construction style, Solid body, Chambered Body, Hollow body or Acoustic.

even strings will change the sound, as in Gauge and Material.

  • this it the coolest guitar vid ever posted to youtube !

  • Hey i have a few questions, in an estimate; about how much was it to make this yourself, i see you are using a bolt on construction so ALOT cheaper, im guessing, and second im 14 1/2 years old in highschool now, how long did it take you to make this, cause i might do this for a summer hobby MAYBE, thank you for reading and answering my comment cause ive always wanted to make homemade guitars

    Sincerely btd96

  • which song is playing? sick guitar btw, amazing work!

  • thats so sick! id love a bass like that!

  • i'd love one too :D

  • Make me one and change the head stock to a Jackson look and ill pay well

  • I've seen some really crappy homemade guitars on YT but this one is seriously cool. I love the way you did the neck joint. I cut and installed real diamond plate on my EDS-1275 and my SG.

  • Beautiful piece man, I'm thinking about doing a lil project with my dean, hope it looks as good as yours!

  • You did use plywood, didn't you? Looks like it. I love the whole process of guitar making. My next project is going to be a neck-thru Jackson RR V.....Cadillac Mary Kay pink with black hardware.

  • If they would've put that guitar in stock to sell... I would buy it!!!

  • WHY would you make a guitar out of PLYWOOD!!!!

  • @swindle2345 If he doesn't then he has to learn cause with a guitar like that its mental suicide staring at it and not playing that beast!

  • daaaaaamn looks killer man

  • what kind of paint are you using?

    -

  • this guitar is awesome

  • good looking guitar nice job, this may sound weird but i modeled up a guitar that looked exactly the same in a computer design program for a class project

  • please don't tell me that's made of plywood

  • dear youtubers

  • Nice job dude.....a lot of work you put in there!

  • nicee dude! nice!

  • I was loving the guitar until I saw the faceplate. Still a good f#%*^ job though!

  • a shame it has no EMG's, they sound fucking nice and look soooo niice

  • First one? wow, it's really impressing!

  • dude you look like tony hawk haha!!!

  • not bad

  • It would be coll if it was black

But How you make it is so fuckin awesome

  • what the fuck is with all these haters, so what if he used a different wood, this is the most metal guitar ive ever seen, FUCK THE RAZORBACK AND FUCK DIMEBAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @OneHeartWay96 diamond is not metal, so this guitar is useless, get a nickel plate instead

  • i would but it how much

  • How did you make the groove for the inlay ?

  • looks like the M from Metallica

  • way to go!

  • Looks great. If this is your first attempt then you are very talented. great job.

  • All i can say is....

Fuck yes brother, that thing ROCKS!!!

  • really cool man!

  • sounds like killswitch engage :D

  • ummm just asking but are there any strap holders idk im probably just not looking hard enough

  • AWSOME!

  • damn sexy

  • @oneheartway96

plywood is a good wood to try when you're first strating out with building guitars. it's cheap and if you !@#$ up no one cares and you spend another $20 to start over, as opposed to $100. So props to you; the end product looks nice and you did well on the finish work.

    @joesteele93

while oak and elm are great for furniture, they are not good for guitar making. so you know.

ash, on the other hand, is used, but not as often as say, alder, mahogany, or maple.

  • wow just awesome man creativity how much would you sell one for?

  • looks awesome!

  • how long did this take?

  • Dude that's sick Nice work

  • Insta-boner

  • THAT IS SEXXYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love it! What did you use to cut out the body? A bandsaw? If so did you use a gig to get the cuts so clean?

  • woulda been sweet if the diamond plate was really shiny chrome the cutting kinda dulled it

  • I wish i have a machine shop - and more time to spare - btw nice guitar :)

  • I would of dropped an active EMG in that guitar, and put a reverse headstock with 24 frets if i wanted to go "metal" ...

  • dude thats an arrow not a v

  • how did you make pickguard ?? o.O

  • You might as well have used Styrofoam.

    Sustain HEAVEN

also, did you just epoxy the neck on?

Screws are meant to secure a bolt on neck, not epoxy, and the point of having a Neck-Thru is so it is one solid piece of wood, or pieces glued seamlessly and tightly together to increase sustain.

but not bad for a first! your next ones will be leaps and bounds better

    ps

    put some DiMarzios in there

  • wow man, epoxy neck joint? that's hardcore!

  • Very nice! I like the sleek design, does it play well?

  • FUCKING IDIOTSSSSS if you wont to know what song it is, see the explication of the video

  • the axe looks beast bro

  • Guitar is very well done, music.. very well dumb-.-

  • cOol

  • Looks sick as hell!!

  • :O .... Did you have any carpentry skills before making this? Woodworking in school, college, university?

  • that would make a great boat paddle

  • what neck did you use im planning on making one in my 9th grade construction class.

  • dude...make a guitar company!

  • thats beast man what are your dimensions

  • Plywood... what a piece of crap.

  • awesome but for me...floyd rose is the only guitar bridge

  • i think i just got a boner... ps because of the guitar, not you lol

  • it's cool no more words oh shit 3 more words aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah better i must shut up

  • THAT IS FUCKING BADASS! TIMES 10000000000000000000%

  • waa that's a great piece of work! how much time did it take you?

  • I like it i have thought about making on myself.

  • Great guitar, its sick.

I would love one like that but in the ibanez destroyer shape body.

  • WONDERFUL LOOKS PROFESSINAL

  • Is sand the clearcoat of the neck, it makes you play faster with a sanded, smooth neck

  • That is an amazing guitar! One of the big names should to the rhodes style witht the demolition cut, I love the way the body looks with the headstock amazing job!!!

  • whatts really nice if you could get your hands on some swamp ash good guitar wood btw awesome job!

  • Cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • wow niiice man!!

  • nice bro but i think itd loook way better woith black hardware and black humbucker

  • dude thats fuggen sweet!

i dont personally like the flying v shape the best but thats still wicked!

    well done

  • only criticism and its not of your work, but that neck looks so fucking pussy on such a huge guitar. if you got a huge 28" baritone neck on that it would look fucking badass!

  • you did freakin awesome dude, love it

  • Never before have i seen such an ugly guitar.

  • Hey , What is the name of the Song and the name of the Band

  • @iarteo its trivium, i dont remember the song im trying to think of it, but its trivium

  • @gman2024 lol trivium, this must be the finda fucks that hit thumbs on shit they don't understand.

hey gman, call up carvin and order a plywood guitar why dont ya

  • @Moogotoo, dude i fuckin edited it, idk why it posted both its all that remains, read all the shit, ass fucker, you think you know music, you probably fucked yourself twice today deuche

  • @gman2024 kids shouldnt have kids. another fucked up life entering the world. thanks asshole

  • @Moogotoo what you said wasnt a musical oppinion dipshit, it was a trash on my son you fucking ass, you didnt offend me because of your ive played guitar forever and been in a band and gone to music school, that means shit to me, youre a fucking loser and obviously, the world agrees with me because i saw all the rants before you deleted them like a bitch. fucking poser

  • @gman2024 lol ok plywood lovers...... all you doods keep your plywood in your pants. you're gettin all excited.

    FUCK YOUR PLYWOOD GUITAR COMMUNITY

    leave it at that.

  • @gman2024 Thank's man ^^

  • @iarteo i think is all that remains, yah its all that remains

  • Hey , What is the name of the Song and the name of the Band

  • What is the name of the song ?

  • How much time do you work?

  • very nice work!!

  • you set a dangerous example to guitar manufactures everywhere . all that attention to detail ... fender did everything basic for ease of build ( and made it cool of course ) great shape and finish

  • I got a dumb question.. Does matter the shape of the body in an electric guitar? because I read that It is not important cause the sound came from the coils but i saw so many guitar with hollow in the body and different shapes . thanks

  • I'm Diggin it.. 1,2 and 3 piece guitar all have their pros and cons.Damn good way to not waste a guitar neck. Nice Shape,Was that your Idea..

  • awesome guitar! What was the song behind?

  • sweet axe man....if u wanna get all technical with it...its not a flying V unless its made by Gibson....trademark says so....still a sweet piece

  • WOW, nice man!! ;)

  • plywood? that thing must sound like shit

  • @Moogotoo btw it looks good though, just doesnt seem like a good investment

  • @Moogotoo... you clearly do not understand wood working

  • @OneHeartWay96 lol!! yeah im sorry, i musta missed all those catalogs where they had plywood guitars, you know........ carvin, prs, parker, caparison, ummm oh wait no plywood there. clearly you musta been in a hurry to make a guitar instead of buying good wood

  • @OneHeartWay96 and seeing as you want Sustain on a guitar. why the hell would you have layers of plywood. and then stainless steel to dampen off the sustain. you got steel all over it. clearly you only know how to operate a few tools. whooptydoo

  • @Moogotoo... learn your material before critisizing... the diamond plate is aluminum, which has no affect on the sound. the only stainless is the tail piece that the strings go through into the body, and on the back of the head stock... i'm not understanding your point? you should make a video of the guitar you built and see if it becomes number one on youtube when you search for homemade guitar. then maybe i can learn from your superiority in the guitar building field

  • @OneHeartWay96 lol so you just admitted there is stainless steel...... what do i need to learn? i said it takes from the sustain, and you start referring to shit i wasnt even talking about (what a douche)

i know what woods i would use, and they aren't in the budget. im dam sure not gonna build a plywood guitar. nor would i cover it in automotive paint. the wood rings out alot better without paint. but yeah i bet you know that since you are an amazing plywood craftsman

  • @OneHeartWay96 thats funny, i'd love to hear from a company that uses plywood........ until then you're just another dumbass jumping on the train. let me guess, you know one? well share your superiority google skills and tell us

  • @OneHeartWay96

There is no way getting around it though: Plywood is one of the worst possible materials building a guitar out of, as the multiple layers dissapate the energy in the vibration making it less sustain and "woody" tonewise.

    Still, great build though!

  • @OneHeartWay96 You actually helped me a lot here, I always wondered if a diamond plate would kill the sound in any way, not a pickguard, but a diamond plate covering the entire front. Or maybe that has a bigger affect on the guitar? I'm considering putting one on one of my basses, a neck-through B.C. Rich Ironbird (it looks kinda dull, so I want to give it something extra). I'd be really thankfull if you could help me out with this one!

    Awesome looking guitar btw!

  • @OneHeartWay96 moogotoo is right. plywood is shit as far as tonewood. especially layered. it has terrible resonance and sustain. theres a reason big companies don't use it. also the steel/aluminum will have an effect on the sound. it will add treble and a tinny sound. learn about guitars before criticizing...
