  • I was 15 when this show ran and I LOVED Roger Wilson as Daniel. As I watched this intro to my surprise, I sang every word from memory, as though the show was recent. I watched it with my parents, they liked the family aspect and the music, while I thought the brothers were HOT....and yes to this day, I can name each brothers' chararcter names and the actors' who portrayed thems names, as well as Terri Treas as Hannah. Great memories. I want to see the shows again. My fave was A Ring for Hannah/

  • Kind of like a knockoff of Here Come The Brides.

  • Tim Topper did another short lived series, Saturday mornings on NBC called Going Bananas. How do I know this? He appeared as a celebrity player on the game show Body Language.

Bet Patty & Selma would like this series (LOL).

  • I watched this show religiously when I was 12. To this day I can name all the brothers and who played them.

  • @charmcat123 - funny, was just thinking the same. I was 12 for the entire run of this series - and at any given point had a crush on one brother or another. Time flies...

  • Damn, john black was on this show?

  • Dude how short lived was this show any way?

  • Mmmm... Hannah... wonder if she's related to Original Adam's daughter :D

  • Wtf, none of the brothers were named correctly! Wow, Glad I never saw this, that movie was one of my childhood favorites and this prob would have crushed it, lol

  • seven brides for seven brothers was a TV show... who knew.

  • Dean, who works at Cerro Coso College, was in this. He plays the parallel character to Micheal Landon in Bonanza. Yum.

  • NOOOOOOO!!!!! I think I have officially been scarred for life. Someone needs to let me watch a full episode or something becasue at the moment I'm screaming(this is literally happening) and don't understand what happended to her favorite movie. AHHHHH!

  • River Phoenix passed away before the age of 30.

  • Was the show kinda like the musical only without music?

  • It still had music. It's just a modern interpretation of the movie in a TV show format.

  • OHHHHH, Nevermind, my drama teacher, Tim Topper, was Evan. :D

  • My drama teacher was in this. o: He was one of the brothers, I don't know which one though.

  • I used to love this show and was sorry to see it end after only one season. I haven't seen it in forever. I remembered Roger Wilson from Porky's (only he had blond hair in the movie), Richard Dean Anderson and River Phoenix but OMG was I surprised to see John Black from DOOL on this show as well. Had totally forgotten about him - how did that happen? lol

  • hope someone uploads more..i miss this and River as well.

  • go to ioffer the entire series is available on dvd...awesome

  • wow. I didn't even know this existed. This looks so dumb in a way that makes me want to watch it. Too bad I was only a toddler when it came out. I didn't even know it existed until a few days ago when I saw on another website about large families on tv.

  • you hhave no idea what you are talking about

  • the names are different from the movie: crane? evan? guthrie? common.

  • holy shit!!! that's john black!!!

  • This was filmed where I grew up, in Murphys, CA. The big house was rented from our neighbors, the Cunningham's. It was right next to our school bus stop. The road through our little valley, was covered in truckloads of dirt for a long time to look the part. River Phoenix went to elementary school with us while they were shooting.

I love this because it shows my home the way it did when I was a kid. All of the fields with horses and cattle are now full of grapes and vineyards instead.

  • I remember this show--loved it and was disappointed it only lasted one season. I remember they used local people in alot of the town shots. You were fortunate to grow up in such a beautiful area.

Also thought the brothers in the show were very cute! Did you get to meet any of the other actors?

  • Thanks for this. I really enjoyed this show back in the day!

  • ?What in the WORLD??? The movie is a favof mine of all time, my family still teases me about it, I still rent the VHS from the library, lol...this looks and sounds awful, lol, I'm sorry ya'll, but that's a corny song *crackingup* I'm gonna have to show this to my mom.

  • I have the series...go to ioffer it is available there

  • When I was younger I used to watch Here Come the Brides (TV 1968). The premise of the show was taken from the original movie of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (a 1954 movie musical). The TV show wasn't a musical, but it did have Bobby Sherman (a teen singing idol back in the mid-late 60's). I had such a crush on him. I don't even remember the 1984 version of the TV show. Weird.

  • I was only 10 years old when this show first was on the air,but I have always been able to remember the theme song,it was real catchy.I don't think the networks gave this show a fair chance on tv.Funny thing is,with all the famous people on there if that show was on today it would be a number one hit.

  • @@ holy shit! lmao

  • Didn't Levon Helm have a recurring role on this show..??

  • Who would have thought that little kid would OD on Heroin and Cocaine...

At least Richard Dean kicked ass in the long term!

  • omg i was soooo in love with this series. I was devastated when it was axed. would love it if someone could post some episodes.

  • I was in my teens when they first showed this show and I remember I had a crush on Drake Hogestyn! Thanks for the memories.

  • Isn't he the most handsome there, omg :P ,,, :)))

  • Wow, it can't get much cornier than this!

  • Lord have mercy. I ain't NEVER thought I'd see this again. And look! it stars Richard Dean Anderson. I only ever knew him as McGuyver. One reason why I LOVE YouTube.

  • Very, very nice, indeed! I dig it too abundantly. Sweet & beautiful 80s era contemporary delivered straight from the very depths of the soul. The tenor singing style with it's nuances is relaxed, carefree, and appropriately optimistic to the rustic hardy spirit of the theme and concurs totally with the lyrics, music, and rhythm of this song. It's all so completely cool sounding. I don't care what anyone else may think otherwise. This deserves a 10 star rating. This, in my book, is the most!

  • great clip...I have the whole series and its awesome...too bad only 22 episodes

  • You have the whole series? How did you obtain it? Would it be possible to you to duplicate it onto a dvd and sell it to me? I love all the boys and it would be so great to see them again. I have followed the careers of the actors and would love to see this entire series again.

  • i loved that show. I would like to obtain the whole series. If any one could help with that let me know Thanks!

  • can you please post a whole episode if possible? I'm anxious to see them!

  • Thanks for adding this! This was the BEST show from my childhood.

  • I have 2 questions:

    1. I wonder why this MGM/now Turner-owned TV series never reran on TBS on TNT?

    2. Was there a teaser trailer of the night's episode before the opening?

  • I've never seen the show since the original run. -- Too bad. I liked the way the brothers always stuck together and stood up for each other.

I don't remember a teaser trailer before the episodes. -- But it was a long time ago, so I can't be sure.

  • It's the early 80s. Every T.V theme song was written with an afterthought in mind. Well, save for Cheers because that is the greatest song ever.

  • Will you marry me RDA

  • You're too late!

  • This was my absolute FAVORITE show. Thanks for uploading this. Seeing River as a little boy bums me out, though. I loved/ LOVED this show, though. :)

  • wow...we got River Phoenex, Drake Hogysten(Sp) aka John Black from Days of Our Lives & Mcgyver...clasic.

  • Richard Dean Anderson is so grogeous, even when he was younger at that time!

  • River went on to better things and Richard Dean Anderson became MacGuyver and appeared in Stargate. They certainly acheived greater sucess earlier in their careers, though.

  • Euh. It was a movie, they DEFINAELY shouldnt have tried it as a show. With such a chav theme song.

  • This was a great show. It was a family show.

There was nothing bad about this.I would love to see this on DVD.

  • Vote for this series to be released on DVD at tv shows on dvd NOW!

  • Oh the memories!!! What a lark! 6 Batchelors all under the one roof - let me at 'em! I think this show would of done much better if they hadn't blown all their funds on location shots. I also think it would do better with a writer overhaul and produced today. Oh its good to see and hear an old favourite.

Anyone got the full episodes they'd be willing to send me a copy of? That'll round out the Richard Dean Anderson and River Phoenix collections nicely.

  • the...hell?

  • Oh, the memories! Seven able-bodies males living in the same house, and they couldn't add a spare room at some point? Poor Brian and Guthrie spent the entire series sleeping in the living room on a sofa bed.

  • Ah, the 80s...

  • oh dear . . .

  • Richard Dean Anderson rules

  • thanks ı remembered my childhood..

  • Ah, Richard looks great! Cheesy tune for sure, lol, but who cares. Thanks!

  • Awww Thank you soooo much!

    I've never seen this before!

    Soooo CUTE!

    Loving the cheesy theme tune!

  • How cool! I've never seen this show before. I'm a big Richard Dean Anderson fan, so this was a really neat cip! Thanks for posting this. :-)

  • Aww cute riverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Oh my god I wanted to see this thanks alot

  • lovely
