  • You have a text.

  • Nick, missed going to Somolia with you guys. It was time for me to get out right before 3/6 deployed. I still have the somolia money you sent me. We sure did have fun in California, Reno and Norway though. My finger is still messed up from sliding down that snow covered mountain on the shelter half.

    Take care brotha,

    Sgt. Hosner

  • This is an awesome video. Makes me wish I could go back in time and snap pics throughout my career.

  • Cool video. Hope I can join the ranks of the Marine Infantry. Boot camp January 18th.

  • Bill Bodette was my SDI at the ISLAND PLT 2037

  • I really enjoyed this. It brings back memories. I was a radio operator with India Co. 3/6 on the same deployment to Somalia and the Med in '94 on the USS Inchon. One of these days i will scan and post my pics.

  • I can't tell you how much I appreciate your comment. My mother sent me off with a new camera and 20 rolls of film and I really enjoyed taking these photos over the years. God bless your son and father and I hope his duty is as educational as mine was. Most importantly I hope he is safe. Thanks again.

  • Thank you for your service to our country, which continues with your posting of these videos!! My son is in the 3/6 now in Afghanistan and I am daughter of a Sgt. Major(RIP) also, but never understood what Marines went through until seeing videos like yours on the internet. Sometimes I see my son fighting or on patrol in photos or video. So thank you for sharing a part of what it is really like. Your service is not forgotten~VPMMPenny

  • Hey, Is that 1STSGT Bodette he's my Company 1STSGT!

  • Yep, He was a Sgt at the time when we went to Somalia with 3/6 in early 1994. He is an awesome dude. We got drunk in Naples and he learned how to say fuck you in Italian and shared it with everyone. The special on History channel was no surprise. He is my hero I'll tell ya. Take care and stay safe. Thank you for your service!

  • haha wher can i find the gunny's legendary exploits on the history channel?

  • @G33314Lucas I am going to post a couple clips of it until they yank it off You Tube.

  • Tell Billy that Osceola says hello next time you see him I played ball and went to high school with Billy. I joined the corps one year before he did. It was fun to see him again on the history channel. He hasn't changed much since being a teenager, and that is amazing, considering how the Corps ages a man. Ew raw

  • @agat0r Right on! Take it easy!

  • Mogasdishu: Man I miss the smell of dead bodies and shit. Was at checkpoint 16 about a mile from the airport. Semper

  • your a trip. It was wild there wasn't it?

  • OUTSTANDING!!! I served with him in B Co. 1/6 I was not shocked when I heard what had become of him... Not many Leaders such as him.

  • I agree. I knew back when he was a corporal in 3/6 that he was gonna be a force to be reckoned with. He is an intense individual!

  • Unbelievable video Nick! Loved the picture of Drew in your uniform...he is too cute! We definitely live in the land of the free because of the "BRAVE" :)

  • By far the best video you've made. It's long but well worth it when the second song kicks in. Gives me chill bumps everytime.

  • what about the strip clubs!!!!!
