  • Thank you. Lyndon Johnson was the greatest legislator ever to sit in the White House. He did more for education than all his predecessors combined. His work on environmental issues was visionary. He crippled institutionalized racism, enfranchised millions, made it possible for the US to credibly talk about democracy for all in the forums of the world, did more to enhance opportunity for the poorest 25% than the previous 35 presidents combined, and made a President Barak Obama possible.
