We've seen it even happen on Ganon's side B. This game sucks though, competitively, and it is a REAL shame so many people are not playing Melee instead of this trash.
right as you are grabed press R. I'm not sure about if you can use it to get out of chain grabs, I think it may be that perfect sheilding techs throws, but I'm not sure.
this was actually in melee, It was easiest to tech out of a hook shot. You just grab during their grab activation frames.(hard to do against falcon and fox)
Isnt a tech..luigi just slid off the edge so the grab broke.

Luigi did not slide off the edge and it happens other times with Yoshi's B grab and Ganon's >B.
I would honestly not doubt that this is random considering others stupid stuff that happens.
