  • time travel is a straight line you cant stretch it or shrink it or put nuts on it.but we can slide back and forth from that line(not in the physical form yet)in the physical dimension we can only flow at the same speed with everything of the 3rd dimension.

  • THUMBS UP FOR THE "TIC TOC SCIENTIST!!

  • There is no scientific evidence for the existence of a god(s) or anything supernatural. SCIENCE RULES!!!!

  • WOW

  • 2:20 - Chuck Norris

  • oohhh dear.

    240 dpi ? Not good.

  • i tested it, was very nice

  • they done it on terranova :P

  • goood

  • 0:08 THE FUCK...?

  • possible as impossible

  • speed of light: 186,0000 miles per second. speed of me grabbing remote before nancy grace comes on: 186,000.1 m.p.s.

  • the problem is that theyre using a particle accelerator and not a delorean

  • Time diulation, thats what the experiment is; but we already know it works, approaching c and time speeds up around the object traveling at 0.999c, thus enabling traveling forward into the future.

What i want these guess to do with the LHC is to experiment on how to travel BACKWARDS in time.

  • i bet they didn't even finish school

  • such a crap! bunch off idiots

  • @9hello123 Ignorance you say - Am i ignorant for not believing in something that has not been proved? maybe i believe in ghosts, would you take my side because i can't prove ghosts exist? yes it is human curiosity to try and prove these amazing concepts but if you think about all the grants & funding being poured into this with no evidence of windfall "& keep in consideration the current issue's with the economy & starving third world countries" then who is truely ignorant?

  • ok now here is an example "i think" of pure ignorance and waste of money; that is like me saying that if you got on a bike and i got on a "motor" bike and we had a race from one city to the next i would obviously get there faster so does that mean i'm time traveling or does that just mean i'm making good use of speed in time? i'm not slowing down - i'm speeding up, ffs have these guys ever heard of inertia? waste of money all of them!

  • @santirock69 ...

You are at an incredibly high level of willful ignorance.

  • i just want to ask scientist about the thing i observed. light travels at 186,000 miles per seconds right? ok. when you collide a particle in the accelerator it produces particle that last or come to existence in billionth or trillionth of a second. they say that no one can travel faster than light. how do you define fast? is it the way you travel in space or the way you exist in space.

  • So Listen. The definition of Vacuum of Space is "Vacuum is a volume of space that is essentially empty of matter, such that its gaseous pressure is much less than atmospheric pressure." Is that a Vacuum to you? What is a Vacuum? I didn't know a Vacuum is a Volume of Space. I didn't Know a Vacuum was Gas Pressure.

  • Experiments with speed:

"Si, is a good drug, me gusta"

  • Who would want to come back to the past anyways? I wouldn't mind living 200 years from now.

  • @plasmaninjaa so true

  • sience rage TIK TAK TIK TAK TIK TAK !!

  • tik,tak,tik,tak...........................tiktaktiktaktiktaktiktaktiktaktiktaktiktaktitaktiktaktikktiktak lol

  • If in humanity history time machine exist , so people will travel back time and we will meet them already .......think about that .

  • We gotta shrink ourselves in Willy Wonkas wonder-machine

  • TIK TAK TIK TAK

  • Don't watch ads .....goodbye!

  • i wrote this comment before youtube even existed. thanks to my timetraveltoaster

buy it now for only 5.000.000 bucks

    the TTT!!!!

  • Waste money!!

    Just gimme the money!

  • thumbs up if RockMelt sent you here

  • i wonder if its possible to be so fast you can pass thru objects

  • Fabric of space and Time doesn't exist... Einstein was wrong about the Gravity

  • I do not recommend experiments with speed, unless you plan on staying awake for the next 2 days.

  • He looks like chuck Norris

  • This title is very misleading.

In all seriousness though, couldn't we just sit on the particle?

  • if this, if that,...dude find a cure for the cold

  • us: tiiiiiiicccccck toooooccccck

muon: tik tok tik tok tik tok

    gotta love physics!

  • @n8style you have it backwards if you watch the video again.

  • i love how the understanding of space time is thought of as a fabric for easier understanding, then these dipshits take it literally and say "maybe we can tie it in a knot" HAHAHAHAHAAAAA

  • @TheWhiteOwl23 ... You're an idiot.

  • scheiss müller

  • I Envy Michi Kaku :) awesome japanase ( I think he's my idol)

  • 2:27 - 2:35 i fuken laughed my ass off

  • should i be understanding any of this? and how can time be measureable? think about it you can measure and possibly reverse time with regards to decay but what about walking to my car how can that time be measured?

  • @TheMossad921 Its easy to understand, the faster you go to slower your time will pass and if you would reach the full speed of light your time stops and if you go faster than light it will start to go back. But time is relative so the speed will only affect the ones time, that is travelling with the speed. If your time is say stopped when u drive speed of light, others time who are not aboard will go normally.

    Its confusing but true :D

  • @TheQneb How ever einstein said that no thing could ever go exatc speed of light or over because it would need infinite ammount of energy what is impossible, and mass of zero.

  • @TheQneb No, the Lorentz factor says you can not go AT the speed of light. It says going faster however is possible.

  • @TheQneb why would you go back though?

  • @TheQneb so am i to understand that aeroplane pilots, and maybe race car drivers are living maybe a few trillionths of a second in the future because of the accelerated speeds they travel at??

  • @lukeluke01 No, if you are standing on ground watching a commercial jet traveling at 200 m/s, you'll observe that the pilot's clock is running slow by a tiny amount. At the same time the pilot will observe that your clock is running slow by the same amount. The difference is extremely small, you'll see that your 1 second is equivalent to 1.0000000000004444444444446419753 seconds in his clock (much less than a trillionth of a second).

  • Wrapped in nuts well aint that just scrumptious xD

  • i love sciences

  • Would someone write some new science fiction since the old stuff we are doing already!

  • If you cant go fast as the light, then become a light. XD

  • @KindaMost lol u just made me think a little. Because in quantum physics it is said they are not sure matter is matter anymore. It is said to be likely to be waves. Wave can reach the speed of light. So if Quantum physics proves to be correct is it so that we can reach the speed of light?

  • 2;11 titk take tik titktitit tiktik tikt funny as shit this guy

  • @dutchysvids

    hhhhhhhhhhhh

  • This is nothing. Homer Simpson did all of this with is toaster over a decade ago.

  • Adjust everything to your puny knowleedge. The universe rides a turtle

  • the science is naked now !

  • This dude is just not thinking straight. His documentaries are hilarious.

  • im not watching it becose off commercials i dont watch any videos with commercials on start --------->

  • @2012Video commercials ?

  • @2012Video im with you !!!

  • im gonna manipulate the space time fabric with my sewing machine beeotch!

  • So the faster i run the slower the time goes for me?

  • @jeeaaman

yeah, if you can keep up with the beam from a torch you happen to be carrying :)

  • @jeeaaman yes

  • @jeeaaman the reason for me getting a hayabusa....hell yeah

  • @Sacroxx

:D Yeah coz when ur speeding around , you age less than the people around you. Which i knew even before watching this video.

  • 2:30 rofl

  • that guy is taking speed?

  • yesyesyes.... now we all know AGAIN, that theoretically we can trave to the future, but not the past....

actually it's happening right now. ISS is the keyword. time there flows slower than on the planets surface. not by much, but anyway.....

wth do some people feel the need to make such a big deal out of it?

  • what if we can fold space making a worm hole go through it which will make us go faster than the speed of light and make a stabilizer to keep it from closing on us. or we can warp space with anti gravity my contracting space infront of us and forcing it out from behind but at a greater force and make it expand then we will go over the speed of light and we can come back using this method and the worm hole method. but we need to find a way to slow time down on earth while we are being slowed down

  • @Shift4chizzle just stop talking ur making no sence

  • @slaybomb96 no i am not it is proper science it is true it isn't my fault u r too stupid to understand it

  • @Shift4chizzle im not trying to be mean its just giving me a headake thinking about it lol like issac newton how people say he had a dark side

  • @slaybomb96 k lol

  • @Shift4chizzle

If we're moving faster than the speed of light by contracting and expanding space(who was it that originally proposed this?) We will not actually be going faster than the speed of light from the viewpoint of spacetime. There's of course a million good reasons why this is all completely impossible according to our current understandings..

  • @DasKrabbe not it isn't impossible but we just cant do it yet lol, and ya when we move faster than the speed of light, time does go by much slower that is the only bad thing, so like if we go on missions that are some light years away and we travel at the speed of like, weeks would pass for the astronaught and ppl in the space shuttle but for people on earth, years would pass that is one bad thing that we can see so far with traveling at the speed of light i don't know another bad things apart

  • @DasKrabbe from inertia but if we have an inertia canceler then inertia wouldn't be a problem

  • @Shift4chizzle

    are you suggesting artificial canceling

    (like magnets to defy gravity)

or literally turning off that part of universal physics?

  • @koobz21 yeah i am suggesting artificial canceling like, inertia- if u don't know u probably do, is the force that keeps a body in motion and a body in rest stay in rest or motion so like if we are in a car and it brakes suddenly, we would fly out of the window now if we go at the speed of light, and suddenly change speed or stop, we would die easily. to cancel this, we need to push ageist that force at the same force so inertia wouldn't have an affect

  • @koobz21 it is kinda hard for me to explain in text. if we are in a flying saucer or whatever craft we are in, inertia is pushing against us so imagine we are in the space ship and it starts moving, our arms swing to the back but if we push against it at the same force, it is like we aren't moving at all.

  • @Shift4chizzle

oh no, its ok i get it

we could totally remove the need for seat belts XD

  • @koobz21 exactly! lol

  • perhaps.. perhaps... perhaps... that guys i doing allot of perhapsing.

First you got to prove a medium exists before you can travel in it

  • Play 2:32 to 2:34 multiple times lol XD

  • sad fact: i've learned shitloads about time travel based on speed of light interactions, but no one has ever told me:

WHY THE FUCK DOES TRAVELLING AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT SLOW DOWN TIME FOR YOU?!

  • @koobz21

Because the speed of light is constant for all observers(unlike wind, baseballs and so on), it follows fairly trivially from that.

  • @DasKrabbe

    enlighten me

    yes, im a retard

sorry for not understanding relativity :)

  • @koobz21

I didn't mean to say that realizing it yourself is trivial, but that it's fairly trivial to explain. Unfortunately it's best done with a drawing.

Basically you construct a watch that counts time by having light bouncing between two mirrors. Let's say the time it takes light to go from one mirror to the other is one time unit. It's a perfectly reasonable watch, right?

Then you put that watch on a spaceship that is flying past the earth, while you stand still on earth. (to be continued)

  • @koobz21

Let's say the distance between the two mirrors is one feet.

However, when you're standing on earth, watching the spaceship fly by light has to travel, not only 1 feet between the mirrors, but 1 feet plus whatever distance the mirror has moved.

The time it has taken the light to travel between the mirrors is (1 feet/speed of light) for the guy on the spaceship, but (1 feet + something/speed of light) for you. ie. you disagree on time.

  • @koobz21

I hid a number of issues, but that's the essens of why something fishy is going on with time.

  • @DasKrabbe

    cool

  • am i the only one who doesnt understand the space time fabric idea? i just dont get how time is fabric, i guess i dont think the way these people do

  • @CallOfDutySnipez Think of space like an invisible grid. As you travel through the grid you pass invisible lines of distance. For every line you pass it takes a certain amount of time. So your moving in space and time ( space-time fabric ). They call it a fabric because they can't be separated. Meaning if you move some distance in space it takes some time... and if time goes by your moving in space. Right now our galaxy is moving millions of miles per hour in an explosion called the big bang.

  • I don't believe in time traveling. 1st is that time traveling in the fut;ure, how can we know the future when didn't happen. 2sn is that traveling in the past is also impossible because with it dead poeple you see them alive it's crazy man. So do you think God is so stupid to let us know the future and reawake the dead !?!?

  • @kurtdimech1 Time travel into the future is already proven possible. Time travel to the past is still unknown. By the way god is an imaginary delusion of people.

  • @buckinfitches OK 1st , how can we know the future when it is not done and 2nd If it wasn't God that made the universe who made it ? I'm not talking about what the Bible says that God build the world in just 7 days its complete bullshit.

  • @kurtdimech1 We don't know the future. We know time travel to the future is possible using Einsteins relativity theory. If this wasn't true then the GPS in your car wouldn't work. Your second question asks who made the universe? That implies there is an intelligent designer. There may be a god that created the big bang (however highly unlikely). But the universe was created in the big bang and everything in the universe is a result of this bang. So therefore the bang is the creator :)

  • @buckinfitches and who created the Big Bang, ME ? Einstien ? and this wil lead us that god didn't create the universe but created the big bang and history started from there But still, i believe that God created something that lead us to the way we are living now.

  • @kurtdimech1 In M theory the bang is the result of a collision between 2 membrane universes. The universes always existed so there is no time of creation for them. The collisions king of release matter and energy from the membranes. You would have to be a physicist to understand it so no point in even showing the math that predicts this.

  • @buckinfitches SRY im not a scientist im talking in common sense . you say that there was 2 membrane universes , who created those ? Things cannot created from nothing there has to be something to create the other something.

  • @kurtdimech1 They always existed they weren't created. They are the simplest thing therefore something cant create them because the thing that created them would have to be more simple. For example: Lets say god exists and he created the universe... ok now who created god? Super god? then extra super god? and so on... Every previous thing must be more simple then the first. Its simple logic. You can't have a super complex god being just exist it would have to be created by a simpler form.

  • @kurtdimech1 you cannot prove that it require something to create something else. Either theres no beginning or it popped out of the void. Either way no1 can explain that. at least not yet

  • @UnIXbLueStar God has no beginning r end, he has always been and always will be.

  • really? u just fuck with me

    dude

    just die or something

  • @kurtdimech1 Its much easier and much more believable that 2 simple membranes of pure energy always existed instead of thinking a very complex god being always existed. Not only that but the math predicts this rather than a god. Everything you see around you is made of energy... atoms, lightening, light, everything is just a different form of energy and can all be converted from one to the other. We already know how every element was created and the evolutionary process... and it wasn't god.

  • could it be possible to collect a massive amount of solar energy and then using that solar energy to make objects travel near the speed of light?

  • *IF* time travel is possible it should only be done with spaceships that can predict stellar movement, which hasn't been done yet since we don't know where the 0,0,0 coordinates of the universe is assuming it even has one.

  • @XainGM That's a really good point. But I don't think it has anything to do with what moves around us, since all you are doing is traveling near the speed of light. Everything around you would be the same, the only difference is that you traveled closer to the speed of light than everything else around you, so it would only be relative to time. My brain hurts.

  • @XainGM As I understand, time and space travelling are close related. If you manage to bend the time "fabric", you are bending space as well, theoretically bringing you to the place you once left (On a worm hole theory). What is being talk about in the video is bringing an object to travel to the same(?) speed of light, and by Einsteins theory of relativity, slowing(!) down time. If you are travelling away from something at the speed of light, you will definitely not arrive at the same place.

  • @IronLikeALionZion I'm not sure how your factoring in movement of earth in all this. If you leave our space time at X,Y,Z you would arrive at the same set of coordinates, not some other coordinates... *IF* you were able to travel at the speed of light for 1 second, earth would be 600 Kilometers away from where it was when you started your travel. No less over the period of 200 years or more!

In 200 years, earth will Travel over 3,773,952,000,000 Kilometers. That's 143 days for light to travel!

  • ... That thing is, you would arrive at the same coordinates but Earth will have rotated by then, also, the planet would have moved as it followed the orbit around the sun, and our solar system would have moved as well as it follows it's orbit in our milky way galaxy, and our galaxy is constantly moving in a direction we have no idea. So if you travel back in time, odds are your going just re-appear in space (in the past). ... Next Comment ...

  • I do not think time travel is possible. Dr. Michio Kaku is brilliant. Love listening to his ideas. 1 problem I have with his time travel theories is that he never mentions how we will make up for stellar movement (movement of all stars and planets). So basically, imagine you want to time travel back to see president Lincoln, well you would leave earth on a certain set of coordinates (X,Y,Z) ... read next comment

  • Thumbs up if you were smart enough to notice the guy with the NY Islander sweater.

  • What leads to an impossibility is impossible

A man can not be dead and alive at the same time, at the same place

So grow up, and use tax payers money on more useful science

    Stop the freaking insanity

  • yes this means that when we in the present discover time travel doesn't matter because our future generations may have already mastered it in that case we are all living in the past

  • They should working out travelling to the past.

Hibernation seems to be better for travelling into the future.

  • Its all about the tic tac!

  • Woah that means i'll get older faster than the others when i time travel using speed??? Kinda like the movie clockstoppers : 0

  • In my opinion i reckon time manipulation is possible in the form of speed, going near the speed of light to slow down time but traveling to the past would be impossible because it would create an endless loop

such like going into the past to meet yourself, the person you meet would do the same thing an infinite amount of times like a paradox

  • waste of time if you ask me, because if we would ever be able to travel in time, if only over 10.000 years, we would have been visited by time traveler from the future. They would tell us they come from the furure and could proof it. So we havent been visited, and thats why its not possible. Waste of time.

  • i disagree and here is why

you say we havent been visted by people from the future to tell us about it.

but i dont think it is possible to travel forward in time because the world is full of uncertaintys so the only way to go forward is by doing it normally. but because history has already happened so we could travel back and see what happened or seomthing along those lines

just my little theory. hope it gets you thinking and if you like comment or message me back.

    (ps im no scientist)

  • this was directed at strat1984

and i apologize for my spelling mistakes

im in grade 12 so i just wanted to throw my idea out there

  • @DjHowsky So you think its only possible to travel into the past.. Then people from the future could visit us, because they can travel back in time..

  • Humans will never be Fuckin Satisfied...

  • Dang, science fiction is turning into science.

  • time travel is a very bad idea heres an example

If you go back in time to tell some one something then you have already s you wouldn't have to, but if you didnt have to you never would have done it it would cause a time paradox witch could destoy humanity but if a time travel is possible then time travel will never happen or atleast in our life time

  • But in my opinion, my very own opinion, if the time travel means travelling to another parallel worlds, its may not cause a time paradox :) Is that a good idea ?

  • to tell it wont take you to another parallel world it means going to a different point in time

  • I know this professor, I have read his book about cosmology (impossibly beyone physics) called "Paralled World". His book is really really great.

PS: He is a scientist who created the STRING THEORY ^^

  • The first professor,Michio Kaku.

  • @Talokaaa STRING THEORY?

Hmm, sounded as important as the G-String invention. LOL.

  • wow.. never gonna happen.. stop wasting money

  • agreed, time travel lol. Seriously this video sucked and isn't worth what it's title describes

  • i know its as real as god

  • Your an idiot

  • there is no proof.. but w/e u can waste time looking up MY vids cuz u have no life.. i bet ur a poor bastard

  • I feel sorry for you basing everything on proof and fact. Answer me this, why do you think you are alive? Why do you think you feel love, hate and other emotions? To me money isn't what life is about. Apparently for you it is? I know I am very rich, and no I am not talking about things money can buy. Wait until you live on your own without your parents kissing/pampering your ass. Do some growing up. Little shit head kids like you piss me off, you need a good elbow to your face

  • wow way to write an essay.. my dad drives a bimmer that i get once i get my license in 4 months so yeah screw you.. go drive a toyota (if you can afford that)

  • Lol, I don't even have to write anything to show how much of a stuck up tool you are. You are doing fine sharing it with everyone

  • toyota hater!

  • @woodster2k1

    Ha

  • Indeed time is not an real entity. We use the label 'time' to refer to atomic motion.

  • TIME DOES NOT EXIST! >_>

  • National Geographic never ceases to amaze me.

  • National Geographic isn't what it used to be :(

  • get in that accelerator

  • 2.32 lol.

    tick tock

  • DUDE IM CRYING ... TIK TOK lol WOW dude i can't breathe... i know its late and all but DUDE ROFLCOPTER

  • 2:32

    FTW!!!

  • tic tac tic tac tic tac! ! !

hahahahaha had a great laugh there

  • rofl

  • @BanditoXYZ192 hahahahaha, what the earth is a round globe? bullshit, the earth is a flat disc.

  • I will travel time soon to move forward on year 4500 a.d.

  • 2:30 is sooo funny!!!

  • LOLOL TICK TOCK TICK TOCK TICK TOCK

  • Yeah, if time travel is possible, where are all the tourists from the future?

  • The video even states that even if its possible he wouldnt be able to come back to tell his tale. They never said anything about freely moving through time. Its only forward... This isnt back to the future and we dont have delorian

  • I think what he ment is you can only travel into the future, not into the path.

  • @mikeusa1000: If it would be possible, maybe the "tourists from the future" know the dangers of time traveling, so they don't show up. Or maybe they even already changed history whitout our notice... And beside that, most scientists who are studying time traveling, say you can't travel to the past, only to the future.

  • time machine will bring no good to mankind.

  • what about if we travel to the past and bring Leonardo Da Vinci or Albert Einstein to present? they could make miracles with today's technology.
