  • You're side looks very itchy.

  • @zeekertron I believe it was at the time :P

  • That is AWESOME!

  • wise talk.. can't wait. I always hated nasa and their expensive shuttles

  • Rich nerds with dreams are powerful nerds!!

    HAIL PROBE!!

  • Yeah, SpaceX is awesome!

  • Amen brother. Btw kennedy would have pushed apollo, but he was assassinated. Nixon was the one who was president when the program was cut, and he didnt even do much for it. But spacex saved me. I thouggt we were in for it. Turns out, our prayers have been answered. Mankinds exploration of space will go on!

  • my son also thinks it is too cool in how there is no LEM and the capsule also lands.

  • spaceX, slick! though the shuttle was a nice tool, it is nice to move on. When's the first SpaceX mission to the ISS?

  • @railfanatic844 Well, SpaceX is going to be sending an unmanned cargo Dragon capsule to the ISS in late 2011/early 2012. The first manned mission could be as soon as 2015! :D

  • @thesnorklemonkey WOW! that soon?! and this is a commercial built rocket by another company that's up and rising, cool!

  • i completely agree for once in almost 50 years we are going in the right direction

  • yea i saw the LES engines, but what about the fuel payload and such. we always kept the LES tower separate for safety reasons and weight.

  • @mrbit10 I'm not sure if the tower weighs more than Dragon's system or not. But I think the LES being part of the capsule's pretty safe because you don't risk a separation failure. You can't re-enter with the tower attached.

  • @thesnorklemonkey i was curious of the fuel mixture, it would carry different fuel no? for landing and LES vs fuel cells in the service module?

  • who owns the intellectual property though? the only worry i have is that when taxpayers pay the tab it is public domain. i just worry about other monopolies forming commercially as well. we share the same goals i just wish we could remove much of the bureaucracy out of NASA and go back to manned space exploration accompanied by the JPL missions. I wish spacex the best, however we get to space, so long as we do.

  • @mrbit10 I don't see how SpaceX could exist without taxpayer funding coming from NASA or the military. There's no huge demand elsewhere for commercial space vehicles. Getting the bureaucracy out of NASA is near impossible, which is why I'm so excited for SpaceX. I'm not really a 100% free market man, but I am when it comes to space I like it.

  • @thesnorklemonkey so long as it stays public domain. I am a free market man as well but i know cost of entry to market comes into play. i have lots of friends that work at NASA and they too do not like all the red tape and political winds.
