YO CUZ I ALWAYS WAS DOWN WIT YO SHIT HOMEBOY UR DA TRUTH BUT FYI DONT GET 2 CLOSE 2 DAT NIGGA DRE DUDE DOWN WIT DAT ILLUMINATI BULLSHIT YO HOMIE HAD HIS SON SACRIFICED YO
His voice made it that much better! it's proven a different voice or style helps 50 music was good before he got shot! after he got shot it was great! now it's just studio. This is my favorite album by D.O.C (maybe it's like he said in album chicago niggas love him no matter what)
Can somebody please tell me what the name of the one track right in the middle of the "Helter Skelter" album is that the "DOC"is just talking. He's not rapping, but he's just giving some kind of speech. It sounds kind of like Armageddon on p.c.p.And it has kind of a George Clinton Funkadelic Parliament sort of sound to it. THX .
DOC was in a car accident after 'no one can do it better'. dude severed his vocal chords. oh, and dre, u bitch, pay this dude cuz he's the creative force behind your two best albums. everyone whoz been into hiphop for more than a minute knows this.
I creid when this happened becasue I thought he was going to die. The way they reported it was that he was critical. He was blowing up. He has done so much ghost writing for Dre and a lot of other rappers that people just don't know.
I still liked this song. I heard it and didn't realize that it was his actual voice (at the time). I saw him speak at a rapper's convention a few years ago. He was upbeat. His voice wasnt' as raspy as this song but it still isn't like it was.
The DOC just needs the right music to complement his more gruffier voice 'cause the "funky enuff" track with that voice just sounds out of place...even with the extra synth sounds and effects.
He left a good legacy with the N.W.A. but I wish he never made a comeback to tarnish his career. It's tragic he lost his vocals because he would've been great if he had a longer career
"Whenever we walk down the streets of compton , motherf*****s in compton STOP!!......., because they want to say whats up to DOC...,your tape was the motherf***in bomb, hope you get your voice back G, cuz we feel that we would be at a loss" and he ended it with "Im still very difficult to f**k wit, ta-dow,here i go again wit brand new vocal thats evil like sin" very dope lyricist. stay up DOC..PEACE
This video is hard to watch. No One Can Do It Better was the first expilcit lyrics labeled cassette I bought. My mom was pissed off. lol The CD is a bonafide hip hop classic masterpiece. Anyone who does not know this is in denial. DOC was one of the most viscous lyricst, still one of the best ever. NOCDIB is still one of my favorite CD's ever. Such a painful thing to listen to The Deuce and other skits (from Dre's The Chronic) with his altered voice. I feel sorry for few people, DOC was one.
If not for the accident, DOC would be a king in the rap game, and dre would have never had a need to sign snoop. The Chronic would have been a lot different.
damn he sounds like a 55 year old jamaican regae dude. Np tho.. his lyrics still rock.. and he's fine as hell. He ghost writes.. so hopefully he gets paid worth and more.
He could've been as great as 'Pac, had he not lost his voice. D.O.C. lost his voice and 2Pac was murdered, why does all the great get put out the game? At least we still got artists like Too Short and DMX who can still drop some funky rap with a flow.
2pac said the good die young and it seems 2 b true. 2 me D.O.C. is as great as Pac,Rakim,Biggie,Nas and Jay-Z who are considered legends of the rap game.but with all respect DMX and Too Short have nothing on tha DOC eventhough they're legends 2 kinda
The rappers that I mentioned are on top of the game when it comes to flowing on a beat. In all honesty, I don't think that either Nas or Jay-Z has a good flow.
ok.Nas is not as good anymore as when he 1st came up,but Jay-Z has a magnificent flow man.eventough i don't like him i have 2 admit that.He never writes down his raps but Tupac wasn't a really good freestyle rapper. DMX is but i don't know about Too $hort.
I'm actually pretty sure that 'Pac was a good freestyler. He told in an interview that he always used to battle others when he was a child. Also, he could probably make up and remember some lyrics while the other was freestyling, it didn't seem like he had a big problem thinking of lyrics and still keeping the flow. I just don't think Jay-Z is at all on point with the beat, but that might just be me.
yeh i think you're crazy so far and if u read exactly what i said you would have seen that i put he should of stayed of rappin for a BIT. he sounds like horror in this and 2 me its hip hop at its worst. im taking nothing from DOC,he one of the representers but not during this "voicebox phase"
Yeah, man, it's really doc. There was an actual video for this, which was pretty creepy. When I first saw it, I was like WHAT?!?!? But this videos pretty tight as well.
