there is a 'color' control button on the controller that you click thru the colors. I leave mine on one color all the time. I don't do the 'special effects' too often I don't want to attract Mr Law.
This is the system that I want to get but how is the wiring for the neon done? Is is still feed through the car battery or is it fully wireless with the 12v outlet?

You have to connect the system to the cars wiring. You can do this at the fuse panel or at the battery.
